This tour can be customised to take you to any of the Speyside Distilleries. We have listed 2 of the most popular but we can take you to any and assist you with tour bookings etc.
Leaving Inverness at 8am we travel down to Dufftown in the Heart of Speyside to arrive at the largest producing Distillery in Scotland - Glenfiddich for our first tour and tasting , we then travel to Craigellachie to the Speyside Cooperage to see the skills of the Coopers before we have lunch at the Mash Tun in Aberlour. Following lunch we travel a short distance to Glenallachie Distillery for our final tasting before we travel back to your accommodation in Inverness.

Lawrence gave us a great tour of Speyside! We had limited time due to our cruise ship schedule and Lawrence planned the schedule perfectly. He was even able to add another stop at the last minute because our travel was much quicker than we thought. He was very knowledgeable about the distillery industry and businesses while also answering all our questions about the history d the area. He even shared a wee dram of his favorite whisky (which was very good!).
We can’t say enough positive about Lawrence and our trip and we would highly recommend Highlander Private Tours for all of your Speyside tour needs!

We visited Macallan and Glenfiddich-Balvenie, two very different experiences; all. with excellent whiskey. Macallan is very posh and beautifully laid out. Well worth the visit. Glenfiddich and its sister distillery Balvenie is more down to earth and makes an excellent Cullen Skink soup. Speyside whiskey is at the top of my list. Billy was very knowledgeable about the history of the region and Scotland as a whole. He was full of stories and tidbits about the region and knows all the distilleries. He’s an excellent driver. We felt very comfortable in a very nice van.

Absolutely amazing! My dad and I were in Inverness and we HAD to do Speyside whisky. We didn't have a car (and drunk driving laws in Scotland are very strict so we wouldn't have driven anyway). Did a bit of research and found Lawrence and this group and were absolutely blown away.
He reached out directly and he was very responsive. He customized the trip based on what we wanted to do and was friendly, knowledgeable and really a value add to the day. He facilitated the tickets and tours ahead of time and was everything was quite smooth.
The car was huge and comfortable and he had water and snacks. Honestly a perfect day.
Ten out of ten, would do it again.

This was an amazing day. Lawrence was an excellent driver and tour guide! He worked with us before our trip to be sure it was exactly what we wanted! Great knowledge, comfortable ride and a good time was had by all! I highly recommend!

We visited Glenfiddich distillery and did a tour and then visited the bar and had a lovely light lunch

We had a great time on our Speyside distillery tours with Lawrence. He helped us customize an itinerary to visit the specific distilleries we were interested in that would work with our schedule. He was very friendly and easy to work with and provided all the details for our tour day. Our personalized tour was fantastic and went perfectly smoothly thanks to Lawrence's planning. He made great recommendations for where to visit and also included a few stops along the way for interesting landmarks and a cozy local lunch. We could not have been happier with how the day went and would absolutely recommend Highlander Private Tours and book with Lawrence for future visits.

Lawrence was absolutely great. He made planning and booking multiple tours very easy for us and helped work out a realistic itinerary to cover as much as possible in our available time. Not only did he pull off the multiple requested stops, but worked in a few quick stops along the way and pointed out lots of local highlights and history. He was genuinely just a really nice guy to spend the day with and was very knowledgeable and friendly to my wife and I. Great recommendation on The Highlander Inn for lunch, and we enjoyed chatting with him during our drive. If we do make it back to the Inverness area, we already have a list of places we’d want to visit and would absolutely contact Lawrence again to make it happen.

Thanks to Lawrence for an amazing Tour of some of the distilleries of the speyside region. My personal highlights were the beautiful and relaxing lounge of the glenfiddich distillery where we enjoyed lovely service from the staff, and the truly incredible Macallan distillery, which can only be described as a whisky wonderland (hence the title)./ Thanks again Lawrence...until next time
