We booked Lawrence and his brother Billy for two days. They have amazing historical snd geographical knowledge of the Scotland Highlands. We had a few whiskey drinkers as well as non whiskey drinkers— no worries, they were able to find something for everyone. The trip around Skye is about 300 miles—quite literally a ten hour tour. The time flew by. We saw castles, the Talisker distillery, lochs, wetlands, and rivers, all the while getting the historical relevance to each site. We also ate lunch at the Mills Inn, a small place with local charm. The fish and chips were amazing, as was the venison burger. Later, Lawrence managed to get us a table at Prime, which was extremely busy. I had the lamb rump with garlic mash and veg. It was excellent. We would have never gotten in without Lawrence. The next day, we had lunch at Bo n Muc at the Torredon Hotel. I had a deconstructed steak pie that was absolutely delicious. Because we could alter the route on the fly, we ended up staying there for longer—it was extremely relaxing— no pressure. Billy also booked us tickets to the Highland Malt Whiskey Experience at MacGregor’s. It was an evening of Scottish history, song and whiskey. I visited Scotland several years ago, and I drove. I will never do that again. Highlander Private Tours is they way to go.

William was wonderful!! Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Felt like a personal experience, not just a scripted tour.

William was absolutely outstanding! We lucked in to finding him on a whim when we asked taxi drivers to take us on an impromptu tour of Loch Ness and the Urquhart Castle. He delivered, and then some! He was able to get us pictures of the castle from angles most wouldn’t. Additionally, he even gave us a tour of Inverness and the surrounding local as a bonus. All this for £90. We gave him double, because he was that good. We so appreciated his enthusiasm for his hometown! Finally, he recommended MacGregors for dinner to hear some local music and for some amazing Biscoff Cheesecake. 10/10 we would recommend him (and his brother) to anyone who wants a tour of the Loch.
