The weather was very bad and cloudy. There was no point in doing the tour as there were no views to see. I asked to reschedule the tour or for a refund. They didn’t offer anything. I don’t recommend this tour to anyone

I booked the tour a few days before I went to Seoul not knowing exactly how the weather would be. The day I was supposed to do the tour it was heavily raining and very foggy and I was unable to do the tour as it was pointless. I asked for a refund or to reschedule the tour and I was refused by both the tour operators and viatour. I found it unreasonable and not necessary.

Overlooking Seoul with stunning 390 panorama, this is a must see. Visible from my hotel and with the old wall leading up to the tower, its a landmark easily identified all around.
Take a taxi to Namsan Cable Car (carpark) not the Namsan Cable Car (you will be left with steep stairs to navigate which is a faff on with kids and buggies).
Single ticket 12000 with round trip 15000. Even if you elect to take a tour round the mountain and the bus down, the additional 3000 won't break the bank.
The cable car is about 7 minutes but expect to queue in busy periods. Two cars operate. Both ferry up/ down but alternatively. It is a packed, but smooth ride. Covered over to protect against the elements.
From the landing head upwards to see the old city defences before arriving at the square. Opportunities for toilet visits, food, drinks and superb photography.
If booking prepaid tickets, it can seem a royal faff on but it's very straight firward. Redeem voucher at the ticket machine 5F for the tower. Get in line and enjoy the lift to the Observation Deck. Fast. Lift operator is pleasant, no need to worry about correct floor! He/she has it covered. Great for kids is the whole digital display room. Walls are screens and the entire room is a show. Amazing how capivating it was even for an old seasoned traveller. Kids loved it.
Digital displays inside lift, and good for those of a more delicate disposition to heights but, seriously, it's a mountain top tower, I'd have relished a glass lift showing me the sights all around.
Alight from lift to observation deck. It is also where photi orders are placed. This means queues. Initially appearing as queues to the obs deck but more savvy Koreans soon brushed that aside. If you are not collecting a photo of you at the tower, don't queue...go immediately into the tower.
A chance for drinks and extensive souvenirs and dining. Take in the panorama. Sit, chat, coffee or beer and enjoy the great views.
Exit via level below.
On exit, check out the square as there are displays and shows put on for free.
Put bags that have no value on the tower trip into lockers on 5F. All very secure.
No smoking, thankfully.
Highly recommended.

We had reserved two entrance tickets. Unfortunately on site, they did not let us in because we did not have a QR code or QR bar for our ticket. Just an email. We had to pay on site a second time! We obviously had not been reimbursed by the company. Very disapointed !
