This tour goes earlier then any other tour to the Secret lagoon, which means that we are in the Secret Lagoon before the big busses arrive. More cozy and less crowded.

1. Thingvellir National Park
Þingvellir is full of history and natural beauty. It stands between the North-American and Eurasian tectonic plates. This rift valley has a special place in the hearts of all Icelanders. It is where our nation was formed by the Norse Viking settlers when they established the oldest parliament in the modern world, Alþingi Íslendinga, in the year 930 AD. At this stop there will be enough time to walk around and explore this natural marvel. This is the closest you can get to being in two continents at the same time. We will have the opportunity to walk in the rift valley, where the tectonic plates are pulling apart. We can observe this movement since under the national park the Eurasian and the North-American tectonic plates are moving apart by ~2 cm every year. Þingvellir was designated as a World Heritage of UNESCO in 2004 and is unquestionably one of the most beautiful and historic places in Iceland. In the area there are restrooms and coffee shops for visitors.
2. Gullfoss Waterfall
Gullfoss, is one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland. It is powerful and tall. Through it the river Hvítá, which is a glacier river originating from Langjökull, plunges down this two step waterfall. There are a handful of viewing platforms to observe the waterfall and above Gullfoss there is Gullfoss center where there are restrooms, a cafeteria and gift shops. NOTE: The path leading all the way up to the waterfall is closed during the winter season.
3. Geysir
In Haukadalur there is a field of hot springs associated with the hot spring Geysir, but Geysir is one of the most famous hot spring in the world and used to be a geyser. The main display is the hot spring geyser Strokkur, which erupts approximately every 5 minutes. Here we have time to walk around the area and this is also where we break for lunch. At Geysir center you find restrooms, gift-shops and the restaurant Glíma which serves for suitable for any pallet or diet.
4. Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin
The last stop of the day is the Secret Lagoon known in Iceland as the "Old pool" since it is the oldest geothermal pool on the island, opened in 1891. There is nothing more relaxing after a day out in the Icelandic nature then end the day bathing in a warm geothermal pool. Bathing in geothermal pools is a big part of Icelandic culture. The Secret Lagoon is surrounded by mossy lava fields and numerous springs. By the lagoon there is a little hot spring which erupts every 4-6 minutes. The water is about 38 to 40°celcius (100 to 104 fahrenheit). Waking through the area is the best way to cool down a bit. It's nice to stand up and walk around the area on the walking paths which wind through the field of hot springs. Remember to bring towels and swimsuits with you, but they can as well be rented for a small fee at the lagoon. We stop in the pool for about 90 minutes.

Was on a cruise with stop in Reykjavik. There was slight confusion trying to locate our bus but once we did, we found that the total experience was excellent with enough time at each of our stops to enjoy and not feel rushed. Our guide, Al, was friendly, knowledgable and spoke perfect English. I definitely recommend this tour and tour company.

The best of Reykjavík! Hard to decide which stop was my favorite. Probably Secret Pool! And our tour guide Franklin was very helpful and knowledgeable! He has the best voice too!

Franklin did an amazing job! Very informative of culture, history, and everyday life. Appreciate his go get it attitude and helpful hints for each stop to make each experience memorable. Franklin went above and beyond to make the drive entertaining and informative as well giving history, lifestyle, and even agriculture highlights/stories. Not to mention the great playlist put together! This tour would have been just okay, but with Franklin it was amazing and one of our favorite stops.

We had such a nice time. The park was beautiful, we got to see a geyser erupt and the waterfall was the better than Niagara Falls. We got to see so much and the tour guide was attentive to our needs.

Gorgeous and really relaxing tour. Our tour guide Andres was really lovely, kept to a timely schedule and even snuck in a bonus stop that was really breathtaking. And the Secret Lagoon was one of the highlights of our trip!
