Malacca, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2008 was once a flourishing and thriving port that was Malaysia’s unofficial historical capital. This once flourishing fishing village was a favourite stop for sailors and traders to wait out the monsoons, and attracted merchants from all over the East. Now, Malacca is a famous tourist destination with rich cultural heritage, renaissance-inspired architecture, antique shops, night markets, and home of the well-known Nyonya Cuisine.

We start with exploring Dutch Square which is the focal point of Malacca then head to Christ Church, the oldest functioning Protestant Church in Malaysia.

At Porta De Santiago, we discover one of the oldest surviving remants of European architecture in Asia.

Nearby, visit St Paul's Church which is the oldest Catholic Church in Malaysia.

After lunch, wonder into Jonker Street - shops selling antiques, handicrafts and Malaysian snacks.
