So fun to travel to Murano and Burano islands! Serena was knowledge and spoke great English! We really enjoyed seeing the glass blowing manufacturer and visiting the island of Burano to see the lace tablecloths, napkins and clothes

We were greeted by the lovely Alessandra who was our guide throughout the day. Being a smaller more intimate group was a perfect way to travel as we all felt like being with friends.
The boat was of excellent quality and our captain also very charming. Alessandra was very informative and had a great sense of humour.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and have no hesitations in recommending this trip.
Top tip: when you go to Torcello do spend the extra Euros and go in to the church (to be fair you probably won't every go back but why not "do it properly" when you are actually there?!). It's the beginnings of Venice and in this old modest church you will see much more basic mosaics to the exquisite Basilica but you can't help but noticing the similarities.

I love photographing interesting architecture, and Burano was a hit.

Christina was an excellent guide, and the private boat was fabulous. We even bought a chandelier at the glass gallery in Murano.

We booked this tour to help us get regional flavor. Alessandra Perucci was an excellent guide who kept us interested the whole time. She was a delightful host to help us know what to expect as we enjoyed the glass factory demonstration and the quiet of Torcello. Burano was colorful and fun, but we could have skipped the lace demo and not really missed much. Allessandra also went out of her way for us; there was a regatta at tour's end that made us return to northern dock not St Mark's... and she walked us through Venice back to St Mark's still pointing out things of interest and answering questions, even though unrelated to our purchased tour.

This was definitely one of the best memories of our travel to Venice. The glass demonstration and tour at the New Murano Gallery was mindblowing. What they produce there is amazing. Burano was also great with the visit to the lace making shop, and Torcello was beautiful. The highlight of the tour was Christina, our guide, and I'd give her a 10. It's clear she is passionate about Venice and these islands, and the info she imparted was phenomenal. Would highly recommend.

Our 10/20/2019 tour was excellent. Small group and covered a lot of area in a short amount of time. To do it all on your own would require a lot more time, effort and waiting for transport. If interested in purchasing products, the tour helps with discounts. Our guide Alessandra was personable, helpfull, knowledgeable, delightfull, and understandable (the accents always throw me). The only drawback is you might not have all the time you want in any particular area. You would have to return on your own via water taxi or the water bus (usually slow and crowded). Highly recommend this tour and guide.

Our family (including a 9 year old and 78 year old) took this tour during our short stay in Venice. Everyone had a wonderful time! Our guide, Francesa B., was wonderful - made the travel time to/from the islands pass so quickly as she informed us of the unique history of the area. She also directed our group at just the right pace, everything went smoothly.

Visiting Murano Glass was amazing - our 9 year old was especially memorized by the live demonstration of blowing glass and creating a glass horse. Truly a unique art form, feel very lucky to have seen how it is done. Torcello was our next stop and it was a completely different experience being on a quieter, more peaceful island (and our 25 year old wants to get married there one day!) And then Burano - beautiful village. It was very crowded but our guide recommended we walk off the main street - and we did - and we had those streets to ourselves.

Highly recommend this tour, and try to get Francesa B as your guide!

The title is no joke - out of our tour group of 14, we had votes for all three island stops as personal favorites. We met up with Alessandra P. for our VIP tour. Top to bottom, Alessandra was a fantastic guide, weaving in her knowledge as a local along with the history and backstory for each island destination. She could not have been friendlier and enhanced the experience every step of the way. I would be remiss if I didn't include a thank you to our pilot David who conveyed us from our starting point near San Marco to each island and back to San Marco to end our day.

Our first island stop was Murano, featuring a visit to the New Murano Gallery. The opportunity to see glass masters at work, both with blown and solid figures, was amazing. The only negative? I wish we had more money to spend in the gallery! The good news is there's a variety of options...and some complimentary cappuccino.

Our second stop was Torcello. There's not as much to see here - although that's kind of the point. Torcello is sparsely populated, giving you a sense what the islands must have been like when they weren't developed. That said, the churches at the heart of the island were beautiful and it was a nice breather at the midpoint of the tour.

Our final stop was Burano. Alessandra shared two possible stories explaining the bright colors of the buildings - she let's you decide which story you want to believe. We first visited a lace retailer to see one of the master lace makers at work. Finding out that each of seven women specialize in a single stitch technique is a bit mind blowing! It ended up being a great spot to pick up some gifts for family back home. We had some free time to explore and, most importantly, grab some gelato.

Wrapping up our day, we were definitely tired - but being returned to San Marco made it easy to get back to our hotel for some rest. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire day and cannot recommend the tour enough!
