Veronica was awesome. She was well informed and shared a lot of good historical tidbits with us. Be prepared with shoes you can walk in for a long time.

The day trip was great however here are a few things to note that I wish I could change. Firstly being that we didn’t spend enough time in Orvieto. It was a great little city to tour around but we only got an hour which wasn’t enough time considering we got breakfast, and only got to see the church which we had to pay for. The wine tour was also great, good quality wines and the food was good. Personally, I think we should have toured Montepulciano instead of Bagnoregio. Bagnoregio was a pain to get to, and is not for the physically impaired. Lots of uphill climbing and the heat can get to you. The tour was also delayed due to an accident on the highways, so we got back late, at 8:30. Regardless it was great and we had a good day.

Veronica was very knowledgeable and engaging. This tour is action packed! Wear good walking shoes and be ready to hit the ground running! It’s a long but rewarding day. We started early with breakfast in the piazza where we met and it’s a great place to have dinner when you are done too!

Great trip all day. SONYA was an excellent tour guide full of interesting stories and tidbits of history of the region. She even taught us some Italian words alone the way! Though the day was really hot I enjoyed visiting both sites and the lunch in the vineyard was a special I’ll touch!

The tour to Orvieto and Bagnoregio was a highlight of our two week trip to Italy. We loved escaping to the quieter places and imagining what life would have been like in the past in lovely towns like these. Our guide was wonderful, she is a retired French teacher named Marylena (?) My group of friends wish we could have spent another day with her. The wine tasting and lunch was delicious though a bit rushed trying to purchase wine to send home. This was all together a perfect day for us. We enjoyed all the walking, beautiful country, food/wine, and people.

This was an excellent day out for exploring the countryside of Italy and seeing what the smaller towns and villages are like with an excellent visit to a winery and a trip to a unique mountaintop village. Would highly recommend if you want to get away from the business of Rome for a day and see the smaller and gentler side of Italy.

Maybe my expectations were to much. We left our hotel and took an uber for 6.30 AM to meet for 7 AM . Cost $31 canadian for the uber. Our group had 17 people and were told because we were the smallest group we will be going on the smaller bus. Picture a bus that picks up people with disabilities so you can have an idea of the size. This bus looks 15 years old. It might not be it could be from the daily use of the tours. We sat in the back which had five seat belts and none of them worked. Ever time the bus went over a pothole the person's seat in from would press back into our knees buy the end of the tour the sides of my knees were bruised and indented. I've been back home in Toronto 3 days now and my knees are still buises and at the side of my knees I dented.
The first stop took about 1 hour and a half to get to. It was to the church. We get there the tour guide she gave us suggestion where to go. One was to the cave at the bottom of a bit of a steep desert. We get to the bottom to find out that it was closed. You would think that the tour guide should know these things so people don't waste their time going and be disappointed. Her job is to know theses things if she cared.
Another 40 minute bus ride to the Tuscan farm house wine tasting and lunch. I guess my idea was we would be on the farm seeing the different types of grapes and the wine tasting process . We sat down for lunch and 4 different types of red wines were poured, we were told what to eat them with. They were a white wine and a rose on the table. The meal was amazing. We thought that were would also have time to explore the farm. Oh no about 20 minutes after eating it was time to board the bus for the next stop. Not before we were encouraged to purchase wines form 65 canadian to $350, pasta and biscotti $15 canadian.
Back on the bus to the next stop after 40 minutes of driving were told we are stopping for a bathroom break. We just left the farm where we used the bathroom. The tour guide got coffee and told us this is a good market to shop. At this point most of the 17 people are grumbling feeling like this is not the tour we thought it was going to be. I felt more like CITY WONDERS wanted over charged our group of five $940 canadian, and we spent over 5 hours of our day on a terrible bus and taken to places to spend money.
Last stop is to where the shot the movie Pinocchio. Thay was another 40 minutes to get there. When we get there it's a steep bridge you have to walk up to get into the castle. When people from the group as if she was not coming up to explain the history she says I've seen it tons of times meet back in an hour and a half. We get on one bus for 5 minutes to transfer back to the terrible mini bus we came on to make our way back to the meeting point in Rome 2 hours drive back. This tour is not worth what they are charging. Save your money or book with another company or rent a car it would be cheaper.
