The cruise was well organized clean and kept neat...
The manager was very friendly supportive and has the best supporting and entertaining team....
Over all had a very great experience though it was a solo trip I never felt alone cos had very nice team of cruise members...

Overall disappointed with the experience. The reviews mentioned Dan as a highlight of the trip, yet we never met him.
Cruise itself - nice room (asked for two beds and they accommodated) but hot water didn’t work in tub. Also quite noisy being near the kitchen. Frustratingly, they started playing music at 6AM which made it impossible to fall back asleep.
Excursions - worst part of trip. Sights themselves are pretty cool, but they are so unbelievably crowded that it makes it impossible to enjoy. You are also not with a tour guide like many reviews say.
Food - highlight. Good buffet for lunch, solid 5 course dinner (nothing too too special though).
Drinks - alcoholic drinks pretty weak for price. You also have to pay for water which is completely absurd.
Staff - most were quite nice and helpful. But overall felt disorganized. Often felt yelled at for no particular reason.
Also to note - before and after you get on the boat you wait with 200 other people going on other boats with no AC. Absurdly disorganized.
Overall - not worth the $137 price. That should go much further in Vietnam than what we got.

We had a fabulous 2 days at Ha Long Bay on Amanda Cruise. What made this trip run so smoothly was the tour host/manager, Dan (the man) who was always there to help you and with an energetic positive attitude. The staff on board are very friendly and professional, the food was good and well presented. The rooms were spacious and of course had an excellent view of Ha Long Bay.
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a better room , although both rooms were pretty good.

We were actually upgraded to the Hera Grand Luxury tour which was amazing. We had a fantastic balcony area and a beautiful deep bath with full length windows, revealing the beautiful islands & scenery of Ja Long Bay. The evening meal on top open deck was amazing and afterwards having fun with karaoke!

Had an amazing experience. Everything was on time. The food and stay was awesome. The manager Dan The Man was great. He was very informative and went extra miles to make our tour special. He was a great guide, singer, photographer, etc. He clicked so many photos of us and taught us poses as well. He was there with a fan and blowed us the fan because it was very hot. Overall highly recommend.

We enjoyed a 2 day, 1 night cruise , organised by Vietlong Travel.
I’d seen videos on TikTok of the cruise, so knew before boarding all about ‘Dan the man’; he did not disappoint!
He was our first impression of Amanda cruises, and we knew from the start that we were in for a great trip.
Dan is one of those unique people, who you instantly feel like you’ve known forever. Great sense of humour and language barriers didn’t pose a problem for Dan, he could talk to anyone.
Once onboard, we had time to check out our cabin and it was far beyond what we’d expected. We had a cabin on the second floor, which had a huge bedroom (with a Juliet balcony), excellent aircon and the most fabulous bathroom we’ve ever seen!
Food was great, service was impeccable and excursions were well executed (even if people couldn’t turn up on time!!)
The duration of the cruise was just enough with a great mix of scenic cruising and trips.
We were lucky that we had good weather during our trip, which made for excellent photos. Dan is also a great photographer.
We enjoyed our evening meal up on the top deck; Amanda is the only cruise to offer this which is definitely a USP.
We would highly recommend Amanda Cruises for your Halong Bay sightseeing trip.

I had an incredible experience on the Amanda cruise in Halong Bay. The views were absolutely breathtaking, with stunning limestone cliffs and emerald waters creating a perfect backdrop. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making the trip even more enjoyable. From the delicious food to the comfortable accommodations, everything exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to go again!
