Amazing place - buildings and grounds are fantastic.
It’s around 20mins from Vienna centre but well worth it.

Amazing evening wandering the Xmas Market before the concert.
The ensemble although small were very good and made the evening a lot of fun interacting with the audience.

We booked this experience that suggested a very ‘christmassy’ appeal, especially given the time of year we are travelling (Nov-Dec). While the Markets are lovely & the voucher for some food and a drink appealing, the concert was not in Schonbrunn Palace exactly, but rather a side- area for the performance. This was disappointing. The concert was entertaining, but it may be better to book a concert separately to visiting the markets, as timing may get tight during peak-market-times.

Music was wonderful. Too bad it wasn’t in a real auditorium for better visualization. It was a beautiful space, just not suited for great music.

It was a beautiful experience. The music and atmosphere was amazing. Just know that the market closes at 6:00 so if you have a later time for the concert you need to get the tickets and go earlier than planned or just go to the market another day.

The music was wonderful. Very high standard.
But…… the Christmas Market was finished when we arrived. So… no dinner!!! Very bad outfit! Never got to see the palace just the Orangery.

Magical evening at the palace’s Christmas market ending with beautiful music at the Orangery.
We arrived 2 hours prior to the concert which allowed plenty of time to explore the market, eat, and take evening photos.

This was a very big disappointment. First of all, we expected the concert to be in the Schonbrunn Palace itself. It was in the Orangerie, which is a cold and boring place with zero acoustics. Then the orchestra played songs that was not remotely familiar, not Christmas songs and nothing familiar from Mozart or Strauss. We left half way through. Complete waste of time and money.

I dont actually know where to begin. Dont think i have ever felt more inclined to write a review. This is quite an expensive tour and i have used trip advisor alot. Firstly the market was not open as they changed there closing time from 9pm to 6pm. No food, no hot chocolate, no market, no mug. And no one let us know of this change when the were made aware of this on the 25th. If you as a visitor make this your first trip while in vienna you will never feel welcome in vienna with the most unfriendly people working at the concert menu which is almost impossible to find. I would like to make a special mention of Lilly who works there who treated us so bad with her dirty looks after we complained and who also made no effort to help or make our evening more pleasant. We were not the only people who were unhappy and had the worst evening. As i looked around i just saw unhappy people around who thought they had beem robbed by buying these tickets that offered nothing it promised.

Nice combo of music and food! The concert on the Orangery was quite good and outdoor market offered decent food and wine.
