Ngong Hills makes an excellent hiking experience, since the highest hill has an elevation of 2460m(8042ft). It is in the south west of Nairobi so one can see amazing views of the rift valley to the right and views of Nairobi cityto the left during the hike. Your guide takes you through the 12km hiking trail. Comfortable hiking shoes with good grip, long pants and long sleeves recommended as it can get very windy.

This hike was much needed after feeling a bit cooped up in my hotel room. My legs are definitely feeling it now but the hills were tough but manageable. Peter was a great tour guide, completing the trip. I would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our hike with our tour guide Peter of the Ngong Hills. The weather wasn’t great, but thankfully the fog cleared long enough for us to see the beautiful valley.

Peter was great and picked us from our Airbnb. He was so friendly and funny. The hike was breathtaking! The views were beautiful. We would highly recommend this tour! Use Peter...he was reliable, on time and knowledgeable. We had an amazing time!

Absolutely incredible. Went solo. Peter was beyond one of the best guides I’ve had trekking he’s one of the most awesome peeps you’ll likely get to meet on a hike like this: knowledgable, kind, keen eye for animals and nature, excellent everything. The landscape and area is breath taking! One of the highlights of my visit to Kenya. Will be back for me. Highly recommend this. You won’t regret it.

Beautiful hike! Amazing views and nature. John is a very professional guide and I'd highly recommend hiking with him as a solo traveller. The 12km hike across multiple hills took about 4 hours. Be sure to bring lots of water!
