Get to know Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire, on a day trip from Istanbul! Excellent, enjoyable day with Neon Travels tour guide Sevilay Tokmak and driver Ismail were brilliant, friendly and accommodating. We added to places to visit without hassle - we also visited Mausoleum of Osman Gazi, founder of Ottoman Empire. Great timing we watched the change of guard in the old Ottoman 13th Century style.

Our guide Ceskin was a super nice guy and was very knowledgeable about the city and my family and I learned much about the Turkish culture from him. We were a little disappointed that we could not take the tram up to the mountain due to weather conditions and so our tour was cut a bit short. It would also have been great if we could have gotten a bit more time at the silk market. But Bursa is a nice place and the mosques are beautiful. It was a nice adventure out of from Istanbul.

It was a worthwhile trip, but not being a shopper I did not appreciate all the time allowed for at shops and would have preferred not to have been so rushed at the historic sites and mosques.
