Our driver (Ghassan) was very kind and caring all along our stay. We visited Jordan for 7 days. We started north with Ajlun, Jerash and Shobak castle. Then visited Madaba, hiking in the Dana reserve (we couldn't have done it on our own since the path practicably in-existent and we enjoyed climbing on the rocks). Sleeping in Petra where we stayed with a lovely family in a real comfort room. We visited Petra for two days, sleeping one night in a Bedouin cave. Then, getting to Wadi Rum for two nights sleeping under the stars alongside the rocks of the desert. (At this point, between the hikes in Petra (oh yes, a lot of stairs) and the hikes in the desert, we would have enjoyed a shower). Nevertheless, it was worthwhile the adventure. I would not recommend stopping in Amman to visit the King Abdullah Mosque (tourist trap and in my opinion not the most insightful visit (and you'll have to pay to enter). The dead sea experience was nice but our travel style did not match with a luxurious and international complex.

In general we really enjoyed our stay in Jordan and felt really safe with Ghassan at the wheel.
