With all the statues of men in Edinburgh, you may be wondering who are the amazing women who made this city? This wonderful walking tour gives you an array of stories of the daring women in Edinburgh’s history in splendid locations. You will have plenty of opportunities to provide comments and questions on the fantastic topic of daring women. It will inspire you and make you feel proud to be a woman or girl. We run:
- a 1.5 hour regular tour at 2pm on Saturdays
- a 1.5 hour exciting night tour at 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays
- a 3 hour private tour at 10.30am - available Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
The purpose of our tours and events is to inspire women and girls to understand their strengths so they may pioneer change in their communities. Our values are dignity, integrity and honesty.

I went on Annabel's Daring Women of Edinburgh walking tour with a friend and we had an amazing time!
Annabel showed us an exciting new side of Edinburgh and introduced us to women's stories that were not only very interesting but also very inspiring.
The tour was therefore not only historically valuable but also made us reflect on our society and ourselves.
I highly recommend the tour!

Amery was a very informed, and interested tour guide. Passionate about her subject and that really shone through. Making our way up the Royal Mile, we heard about various inspiring women that had an impact on society and fought for what they believed in. Highly recommend.

It was a fascinating tour as I had never considered or questioned the fact that all the statues in the city were of men! Annabel led us to find those hidden plaques of distinctive women in Edinburgh's past. She was so knowledgeable but equally interested in what others could add from our tour group of four. She always listened to what anyone said and allowed discussion particularly as she posed two questions at the start of the tour. I would really recommend Annabel as a tour guide and this as a tour.

This novel tour was one of the highlights of my recent visit to Edinburgh. A native of the city, Annabel certainly knows her stuff. She is very knowledgeable about Edinburgh's history and delivers intriguingly delightful stories about the various "daring" women who formed an integral, but often untold part of the city's history. The tour is certainly educational but also fun providing an opportunity to meet like minded women travellers. Thumbs up on this "in a class of its own" tour ... I would certainly join again and highly recommend it to all.

Fascinating and unique, full of interesting facts and stories about history, social history and female history. Lovely pace, guide engagement really easy and stimulating. Really enjoyed it. Excellent for younger female generation adults who may not appreciate the sacrifices and endeavours of previous generations to achieve what they enjoy in a fun context.
