We did the hike to Giant Holly trees with our two children and it was fantastic. Laetitia was an excellent guide and shared lots of her knowledge about plants and nature. She was very good with children and made it a very enjoyable experience for all of us. Would definitely do it again.

To put it briefly: this hike was a dream. We were out and about at the beginning of March. Although the sun was shining, it was still quite cold, but Laetitia was perfectly prepared and had brought beanies so that we could walk the trail with warm ears. Laetitia was the perfect guide, telling us everything we needed to know about the geology, plants and animals of the region along the way. She led us through an incredibly beautiful mountain landscape with great views. We saw impressive ancient trees, the first spring flowers and, above all, a holly grove that is probably unique in the world. We can only recommend this hike to anyone who is enthusiastic about the beauty of nature. And at the end, we were given some great tips for Castelbuono. Laetitia, thank you very much for this great day!

This half-day, 14 km. hike in the Madonie Mountains with Laetitia as my guide exceeded my expectations. The panoramic views were spectacular, including Mt.Etna in the distance. We encountered several fallow deer on the hike, and communing with the ancient, giant hollies was a spiritual experience. Laetitia's extensive knowledge of Sicily and its flora and fauna gave me a deeper appreciation and understanding of the island. Upon returning to Sicily, I hope to do a several day hike with Madonie Explorers. Don't think twice about doing one yourself!

Spend a day in the Madonie mountians if you can while visiting the Palermo area. Laetitia was friendly, knowledgeable, and even packed some caffé and a snack. I was grateful to find a company that would lead a hike, show us the special places we could never find on our own, and share some knowledge of the lands. Glad we did it.
