Mount Batur Sunrise Hike and Hidden Waterfall

Thank you Rapa for driving us around Bali and Roman taking us up the mountain and showing us the beauty of Bali. Fun tour although the waterfall wasn’t easy to swim in.

We had an amazing day. The view was spectacular despite it being cloudy. Our driver/guide Rapa was excellent, very polite and safely got us to every stop. He even led us watch the champions league final in his phone! Agum was a very good guide who took us to the top and back. He was very patient, made a great breakfast and told us about the local language, food and customs. Thanks a lot Rapa and Agum for a great day!

The hike was hard but so worth it! Ari was our hiking guide up the mountain. She is a rockstar! The hike was pretty hard for me so she carried my backpack up around halfway! She made sure to lend a hand on the tricky parts, cooked us breakfast at the top and took some great pictures for us! She was so friendly and personable, we loved her!! Arnawe was our driver for the day and was great! He was helpful and a safe driver! Took us to the hike and to the waterfalls!!

I did the turn with Rapa as a driver, he was nice, and he did the best to make my trip well and comfortable. The guide to go to the top of the mountain was also super nice, and did the best! Perfect

We had a great time watching the sunrise on the mountain! The hike is strenuous but worth it. It was very hot hiking up and down but very cold and windy at the top as you wait for the sun. Our driver, Dekwan Selem, was punctual and gracious enough to drive into our villas driveway that wasn’t paved just to get us back sooner. He was understanding of the fact that my husband wasn’t feeling well and drove as carefully as possible to make the ride bearable. Our guide on the mountain was very experienced and patient as we had others in our group that couldn’t keep up his pace.

Highly recommended! We booked the early morning hike/sunrise at the Mount Batur! Our driver was Pendi and he was very very helpful, kind and he always made sure that our needs were met since the pick up from our hotel until the drop off! He did his very best for us to have the most convenient and at the same time fun trip!
If in Bali, definitely don't miss it!

My husband and I had a great day with this experience! Everything was smooth from the second our driver Kupit picked us up right at our villa until he dropped us back off. The sunrise was beautiful, our guide Maggie made sure we were comfortable the entire way up and down. Breakfast was an added bonus at the top! After the hike, Kupit took us to a coffee plantation where we tasted locally made coffees and teas followed by a beautiful waterfall. He was extremely informative, teaching us all about Balinese culture through the day. Kupit and Maggie were very pleasant and helpful and I would recommend them both for this trip!

Had a great trip with our crew as we walked Mount Batur. It’s a tough getup at 1:30am but it was a great day. Our driver Begong was amazing, looked after us all day and navigated Bali traffic.

Steep mountain for an inexperienced hiker. Rapi the driver picked me up in Nusa Dua at half past two. He had already sent me a message in advance what time he would be there. Rapi was very friendly and gave me all the preparatory information. The guide who supervised the climb was calm and matched his pace to mine, without losing sight of the other 2 hikers. Along the way he provided additional information and did another photo shoot upon request. Rapi then took us to the coffee plantation and returned us safely to our hotels. Rapi and Komang got me through and the view was completely worth it!

Hiking Mount Batur was a highlight of our time in Bali! It’s more strenuous than we expected (1,5hrs steep uphill and about an hour downhill) but the view at sunrise was spectacular! Even with lots of fog and some clouds it was magical! Pasek was our driver and he was great! After the hike he took us to a coffee plantation and to see the Manuaba waterfall. It was challenging to walk to see the waterfall after the volcano hike as my knees were hurting from the downhill but it was totally worth it!
