The Palacio de Las Dueñas, the current residence of the Casa de Alba in Seville, was built in the 15th century, and is historically one of the most important monuments in the city.

The building itself, which includes Gothic-Mudejar and Renaissance styles, has impressive architectural interest, such as its various gardens and patios with a magical charm.

In addition to a wonderful collection of paintings, sculptures, tapestries and furniture, it also treasures many family memories, as it is still inhabited, making this Palace a unique and different place to visit.

Among the most important characters that visit it are: Americo Vespuccio, Marconi, Lord Holland, Cole Porter, Arthur Rubinstein, the Empress Eugenia de Montijo, the kings Alfonso XIII and Victoria Eugenia, Jackie Kennedy, the princes of Monaco, among many others. Birthplace of the poet Antonio Machado.

Being totally honest we enjoyed our visit here much more than the Alcazar. Its quieter, much more relaxed and although smaller its much more impressive because of that.
Take your time and enjoy the beauty of this place

Amazing palace/home of the Duchess of Alba, Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart.
The palace itself is occupied by her son. A section has been opened. Beautiful paintings, richly decorated ceilings and wooden doors.

Very beautiful stately building that deserves to be visited. Gorgeous, well-kept gardens with many different types of plants and flowers.
Also interesting is the visit to the internal rooms of the palace where the passions and taste of the Duchess of Alba can be perceived.
The rooms with the Avril party posters are very beautiful. Well done audio guide.
Recommended visit!

A beautiful house with a lively and well-kept garden, full of memories and ancient objects of the owner family. After monuments and characteristic corners, it was what I was missing in my visit to this beautiful city.

We visited the Setas and saw this palace off in the distance and went there on a whim. I’m so glad we did! The gardens are beautiful and the inside is crammed with interesting art and relics. What a dream it must be to live as a duke in Spain! I don’t think I’d ever leave the grounds…

Definitely worth the entry price. Not to mention, the crowds were very small and not a single tour group that we had to try and get around.

I really want to figure out how to create one of those beautiful Spanish tile fountains on my own patio now…

Perhaps the best thing about our trip to Seville.
The charm of a noble residence with so much history and the magnificence of its gardens.
It was worth the trip
