Jeff was very knowledgeable about the history of Salem and the witch trails. He was very informative and told the actual facts of what happened. Took us to all the sites around Salem where the witch trails were held. I would highly recommend this tour to anymore who wants to learn the history of Salem and the witch trails.

Jeff blew us away with his knowledge and passion for the topic. He knows more about history (and debunking myths) than anyone I encountered during my trip to Salem. We did the night tour, which I felt gave it a bit of a fun eerie feel, but I think the information is the same at any time. I can't rave about him enough! We booked directly through his 1692beforeandafter.com website (I like to directly support small businesses) after I did a ton of research and felt that the explanation of his tour sounded the most interesting and well-written. He doesn't do the kitschy stuff you see other companies do like wearing an over the tip witch outfit, but I personally appreciated this because on his tour felt like I truly learned something vs. just being entertained.
We passed by a bunch of ghost tours, but I'm so glad we did this tour since I feel like we learned so much interesting detail about the witch trials and what happened.

Awesome, interesting and historically accurate tour with an exceptionally informed guide. Entertaining yet respectful of those that were wrongly accused. One of the best historical tours we have taken anywhere. Worth every penny.

The memorial markers for the victims was my favorite. The cemetery too. Our guide really helped me understand the whole tragedy.

The guide was so knowledgeable and was able to answer the many questions that the group presented. Jeff is a local who grew up here, and was able to provide us with a lot of background information on the town. He gave great insight in to the economic and social issues of Salem, and their evolution over time.
