Goshuin means a "red seal" is a seal given as a proof of visitation to a shrine or temple. The name of the shrine or temple, the name of the principal image, and the date of the visit are written in ink. You can make an eco-friendly upcycle goshuin book (stamp book) by reusing scraps generated in the kimono manufacturing process, used paper bags and wrapping paper as materials. If you visit shrines and temples with your hand-made Goshuin book, you will have a deeper memory. We will deliver valuable time that can only be experienced in Japan to tourists visiting Japan.

We enjoyed starting the morning with this relaxing and engaging activity. Karin was a wonderful host. She was patient and gave clear directions, and we had a nice conversation. We appreciated the unique keepsake to bring home from our visit. We opted to purchase a smoothie while we were there, and it was very good. Thank you for your kind hospitality.

I wish I could give it even more stars. We had such an amazing time doing this activity and created such a unique booklet to write about our trip (and collect stamps of course).
Pat is an amazing hostess: she gave us advice on how to achieve the design we had in mind, she also enabled us to be creative. She was all through the hour positive, cheerful and kind.
Definitely worth booking if you want to create your own unique book. We might be back for other activities they offer if we have time.

It was a lovely experience! Went with my family who all had varying experiences with crafting (from a lot to none) and everyone enjoyed their time. It’s easy to make a simple book and fun to get more detailed with it if you can. Pat was really great, and I’d love to come back again!

Our host Pat was amazingly patient, educational, helpful. The bookmaking was a great little crafting break when sightseeing, in a clean little Cafe tucked away with drinks. We had our own table and ample materials needed to make our goshuin book. Having a handmade takeaway is such a lovely memory. Would recommend this experience and try other offerings the team has too.

I had a beautiful and relaxing time making my Goshuin. The teacher was so kind and welcoming. When I arrived, she showed me a menu of drinks I could choose from that came complimentary with the experience. She was attentive, but didn’t huddle over me, so I always had everything I needed, and I didn’t feel like she was crowding me. She was so friendly, and it was great chatting with her since I was by myself. The book was very easy to make, and there were lots of beautiful materials to choose from. I enjoyed it so much, that I asked if I could stay and make a second one. Two women from Hong Kong came while I was there, and we sat at the same table. I was so impressed that our teacher was fluent in English, Japanese and Mandarin, and she spoke with all of us so easily. It was nice to chat just a little bit with other ladies as well. My Goshuin books came out beautifully, and I have already started collecting stamps in them. They are the perfect personal souvenirs to bring home.
