Jamie was an outstanding docent with a comprehensive background in art and history. He made the tour come to life. If you have no background in art or an extensive background in art, take this tour. We learned and appreciated so much more than we could have done on our own. This is a huge museum and can’t be seen in one visit, but this tour was the best decision we made for this visit.

Really recommend Sheldon’s tour around The National Gallery, it was great! Starting with a chronology of art styles and movements, with some extra incredible paintings thrown in. His passion for art really made our trip!

Spectacular overview of the museum’s collection. Jamie was knowledgeable and extremely good at lecturing to folks with different knowledge levels and backgrounds. Would recommend this tour highly if you can only spare a few hours but want as comprehensive a tour as possible of the National Gallery’s collection.

Our tour with Becky was amazing. I have been to the National Gallery many times before, but Becky´s vast knowledge and enthusiasm made this visit very special. The 2 ½ hours were filled with great stories about paintings, history and fun facts. We learned a lot and saw paintings in a completely new light. We will definitely book another tour with Becky in the future, thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

This was a very good tour. Out guided for the tour was excellent, he knew about the museum and was wary to understand. He was well versed in art and art history. He encouraged our questions and provided very good answers.

Jake was an amazing tour guide. Highly knowledgeable! He would point out the history and fine details of each painting in a way that we wouldn't be able to get ourselves! Highly recommended.
