Had some time on a layover and wanted to knock out a quick bucket list item. The location was great. They have a real shop to meet at and stash your stuff, and the beach had perfect waves to learn on without feeling too bunny slope). I’m glad to know I can rent boards there too if I’ve got time again. Like the other great reviews, I lucked out with Max as my instructor, and he really is a great teacher! He gives you what you need when you need it without overcomplicating things, and he knows the surf on that beach really well. It’s great to have such a knowledgable and passionate teacher who makes it a fun experience! I’m in decent shape and did the hour and a half lesson, but my shoulders were shot from paddling out, so I ended up calling it after around 7-8 runs. If you’ve got time before you go, get that shoulder strength up! You’ll be better off for having it!

Max was great with our daughters 14 and 12 years old. He took time to show them what to do and what was expected. They were up on the boards quickly and surfing. I highly recommend Max for you or your family.

Very nice land lesson before we hit the water it was extremely helpful! Loved how the instructor picked a wave for us and told us when to stand up!

Max was the best. Polite and very helpful. Made us all feel very safe and had a blast surfing w my 2 sons. I highly recommend doing this and if possible get Max as your instructor.

Maybe a lesson of 1h30 would be better because 1h pass really fast. You can easily do it in a session of 2 people but i would of done it alone to have more time and more waves and more time to practice because he has to split the time between 2 people. He explains really well and youll be able to surf the littles waves in the class for sure!
