Donal was a brilliant historian of the local Dublin pub scene. I recommend his tour if you want to see local pubs off the beaten track. Donal graciously agreed to take us to a pub highly recommended for their authentic Irish music even though it was not originally included in his tour. He was a very hospitable and witty guide.

The tour ended up being just my friend & me so essentially private! It didn’t matter to Donal, we headed out and visited 4 pubs, had great discussions, learned a lot, got many recommendations & had a great experience! Wonderful afternoon!

A friend recommended the tour with Donal to me and as promised I had an absolutely great time. Donal entertained the whole group extremely well and not only gave us interesting facts about Dublin and Ireland as well as his personal view on certain historical events; in his typical Irish way he also entertained us with lots of funny and absurd anecdotes from his life and generally created a great atmosphere that made everyone feel at ease. Also people who come alone are well integrated into the group!! The pubs were well chosen, no tourist hotspots, instead we got real insider tips. I can recommend the tour to everyone who wants to feel like a local in Dublin, be entertained with hilarious stories and of course enjoy a delicious Guinness!

Felt like i was out with friends. Was an amazing time and learned so much and seen so much. For the pubs we got a seat at every single one and we chatted like we known eachother for a while. I ate a ham and cheese sandwhich from ine of the pubs donal recommened and it was great
