This is a beautiful area and spending a few days there with Orchid was a treat. The ship is comfortable, our room spacious and the food and service superb. There were many varied activities or you could just relax. Loved the hands on cooking classes with Lily and sweet Merlin, our server. Their customer service was exceptional!

Fantastic experience cruising Ha Long Bay on cruise boat 1. The boat was beautiful—spacious room with large windows to enjoy the scenery from the room. All the staff members were kind and accommodating in every way. Special shoutout to Lyly who took great care of us for 3 days. She was so sweet and very attentive. The food was fantastic and dinner was artistically presented. My spouse and I were celebrating our honeymoon, and we were surprised with a gorgeous display of balloons, lights, and singing at dinner in addition to a decorated room. The activities including the cave tour and bike ride to the village were nice, but the second day is nearly all day away from the boat. Three days is a must, as two day seems it would be too rushed and short. Thanks for the great experience.

We went on the 3-day Orchid Trendy cruise. For us, the planned activities (visiting Trung Trang cave and cycling on Cat Ba Island) were the highlights. The whole trip was very well planned and run very smoothly. Every single one of the staff are amazing, so eager to help out where they can. A special shout out to our server Lisa who looked after us over the three days!
The ship itself is quite nice but feels a bit tired. Our room had some fixtures that were broken and the tap to fill the bathtub was so weak that it would’ve taken hours to fill the tub so we had to abandon the idea of a bath. The water pressure and temperature of the shower was also a bit unpredictable.
I would recommend this cruise for anyone looking to do a combination of relaxing on the ship and doing activities off the ship.
