The first village we visited as a group of solo travellers was the Lacquer village. Such beautiful artifacts. From plates to furniture. We were shown the process and got a chance to make a small plate. It's a long process, we did not have time to finish. The second village was the Conical Hat village. First we had a tasty freshly cooked lunch. Amazing food. We watched the ladies making the Conical hats and tried different processes. The third village was the Insence Village. We watched the workers operating different machines and the final results. We came away with a gift of Insence sticks as a souvenir. I highly recommend this trip. The scenery travelling to the villages is astounding, rural and so green 💚

Definitely a tour you do not want to miss! First stop to a village to make a traditional wall plaque. Then on to the iconic conical hat village where you get make and design your own hat. Finally a stop to a photo op of a lifetime posing among the colorful bundles of incense. Then you are treated to an authentic Vietnamese lunch.

We are foreigners living in Vietnam. We wanted to do some fun, touristic, cultural and relaxing activity during a holiday. This activity was perfect. Paul our tour guy was excellent. We were a different kind of tourist bc we live here so we had lots of questions and things to share. He was great with the teenagers in our group. We enjoy the hospitality of the people in each town and we had a great meal. Thank you!

An amazing company and a brilliant day out. So many talented people hidden away in little places you would never find on your own. It was a really interesting day, we went to a lacquered plaque workshop, incense factory and hat making. I can't say which was my favourite as each was so different and all as interesting as each other.
The lunch put on by the hat making ladies was fabulous too and the local tour guide, Son, was lovely and very funny.

What a fabulous team - everything was extremely well organised! Charlie our guide for our trip was truly amazing - a 5*guide! Proud and passionate of his country, very knowledgeable and so much fun! He was available 24/7 always ready to help! The Heirloom Villages was the first day of a truly wonderful tour!
The three day ‘give back’ project was well planned and thought out! Everyone worked hard together and it was quite amazing what we achieved - one very happy family!
All our accommodation was in great locations and was far superior to what i was expecting! Some great swimming pools! All very comfortable with lots to do in the vicinity.
I would love to travel with this company again and look forward to another adventure with them! Loved every minute!

This was a fantastic tour and I can’t recommend it enough. We got to see up close and personal 3 different villages and how they make everything. We also got to learn hands on and had a fantastic meal, made by one of the villages.

This was one day before my 17 day Vietnam tour and I can’t recommend that enough either. You will be so happy you did and the experiences are unbeatable.

This was such an awesome day. At first meeting Rachel was like a ray of sunshine. Each place we went was fun and you learnt something new about Vietnam and Hanoi. Each artist was so talented. Having a Vietnamese lunch cooked for us was super special, the food was amazing. The whole day was such a delight. Thank you Rachel.

A hands-on tour that is indeed off the beaten track, with very nice local food for lunch made by the family we visited. Our guide Son was friendly and gave us good insight into the crafts and Vietnamese culture. It was nice to try out lacquer painting and hat-making! I thoroughly enjoyed watching regular life and animals on the streets and in the fields en route too. Will 100% recommend!
