On a Half-Day Bike Tour, you'll enjoy the unique experience of biking through wine country and visiting a local winery while still finishing early enough to make other plans for your afternoon!

You’ll join a small group led by a local, knowledgeable Tour Guide who will enhance your understanding of the valley’s history and the romantic vine-to-bottle process. This tour will include one stop at a local winery (tasting fees not included)

Electric bikes make this tour fun for anyone who can ride a bike. Casual bikers will find they can confidently ride longer distances and cruise up hills with no problem. And experienced riders who are hoping for more exercise can turn the pedal-assist level down or completely off to get more of a workout.

After your bike tour concludes in Yountville, you’re welcome to keep your bikes to continue exploring on your own. Your Tour Guide will be happy to recommend favorite backroads to explore.

We had John and Don as our guides. They are smart, attentive, wonderful men who we'd like to go to dinner with. Nothing but great things to say about both of them.

The bikes worked great. They were comfortable and easy to ride.

Two issues:

1. Road biking. We knew there would be some time on the road, but I guess we didn't think about what that might mean. We spent a mile or so on a road with no bike path. Cars passing us had to move all the way into the other lane to avoid us. It's California, so the drivers were very respectful. We didn't come close to a scary situation; nonetheless, it was unsettling.

2. Wine tasting. They took us to Bread and Butter. The wines were great; we bought 6 bottles (weirdly, they can't ship to NJ). But our wine educator was too busy, so the tasting took twice as long as any of the other 6 wineries we visited during the week (i.e tastings on other days). Also, our two guides had no where to sit by themselves, so they sat with us and watched us taste wine. They didn't participate. We loved the guides, but we didn't necessarily want to share this part of the experience with them (if that makes sense).

Overall, I hate to say anything negative because we really liked John and Don. But we feel like the experience can be improved.

We took a scenic tour and stopped at the Backstage winery. We tasted some great wines and even joined their wine club. Our tour guide Dustin was amazing. He gave us lots of history and fun facts during the ride. He took lots of great photos of us during the ride with the beautiful scenery in the background. All around great day!

Don't miss this experience! We explored the back roads of Napa with our fabulous guide, Dustin (love him!) Dustin brought us to two vineyards and we had a delicious Bouchon Bakery lunch at one of the vineyards. Beautiful day and so much fun. Dustin was so knowledgeable -- not just about the area but about winemaking and the vineyards. Great high quality e-bikes (easy to ride or you can peddle like I did.) Thank you, Napa Valley Bike Tours! You're the best!

Tom was an amazing group leader. So knowledgeable about the area, geography, wine making, vineyard life. It’s a completely amazing ride next to the vines. Highly recommend this.

We enjoyed the Half Day E-Bike Tour very much. Our guide, Cameron, is usually in the shop, but for our group ventured out onto the bike path as it were. He made sure we were comfortable on our bikes by heading down a city street that turned to a country lane before heading out to the Silverado highway. The E-Bikes made it a breeze and I personally wanted to take full advantage of the electricity added to my bike, but had to stay with the group. : ( We biked to Hagafen Winery and learned about Kosher wines and wine making in general. They have a very pleasant tasting area and a friendly dog to pet. We returned via a narrow road to the Wine Trial dedicated bike path, again I wanted to go faster than my group, but that is me, I hate using brakes. The views were incredible. Sadly, none of our group made a wine purchase at Hagafen, so I can not speak to the support van pick up option. The tasting fee at Hagafen is average for other winery tasting fee's, which is in addition to the bike tour itself. All in all, a spendy half day trip in beautiful California wine country. We enjoyed a delicious slice of pizza at the deli near the shop. YUM! We walked to the Bouchon Bakery for a Chocolate Croissant for the AM. Yountville is a quaint town to stroll about after your ride.
