Your private guide will take you to the must-see sites of the city center. We will visit the statue of Jafuda ben Cresques, a 14th century Jewish cartographer who made the world-famous Catalan Atlas map that Christopher Columbus might have used in his travels. We will walk down Leather Maker Street and learn about the old bakery named Can Miquel that up until recently was still in use and is known to be built on the site of the “sinagoga nova” or the “new synagogue.” We will discuss the many secret traditions that the Crypto-Jews maintained to keep their faith alive as best as possible, even under the ever-watchful eyes of the Inquisition.

This was an excellent tour. Besides the fact that Majorca’s beauty and history rise from the streets, our guide- Denisse ( Didi) for whom a better word is educator- introduced us to the story and places of Majorcan Jewry. While it is a tragic story, the efforts of Jewish Majorca and people like Didi tell it well and are inspiring in their efforts to preserve our heritage.

Clara is a knowledgeable and interesting tour guide. She brought the history to life as we walked around Palma. We took a 2 hour tour, but would have enjoyed the 4 or 6 hour tours if we'd had the time. This tour was one of the highlights of my trip!

Great tour. Charming and knowledgeable guide. Eye-opening. A side of Mallorca which is probably not widely known. I definitely recommend.

A very exciting, unique and wonderful experience!
Thank you, DANI!
I hope more Christian tourists would join you at this tour - to know and learn more about Jewish People here in Palma through the centuries. A sad and tragical history - inhuman and unbiblical at any time.
I felt very close to the Jews - connected through Messiah!
Thank you, Dani, for living reconciliation!

Wonderful, unique, very touching experience!
Dani, the tour guide, is an incredibly cheerful, open, friendly person!
He introduced us to the dramatic history of the Jews on Mallorca - mostly completely unknown to tourists. I am a German Christian and felt so close to the Jewish people - especially on this tour! Jesus/Messiah connects us! (What the Catholic Church has done to the Jews over the centuries - it was absolutely evil, unchristian and against God! We as Christians today must deeply and vicariously ask for forgiveness for the injustice that was done to the Jewish people in the name of Christianity!)
THANK YOU DANI FOR LIVING AND RADIATION OF RECONCILIATION!

Today myself and my Mother and our family friend had a walking tour lead by Dani. He was very charismatic and knowledgeable and was able to reveal a lot of hidden history of Mallorca and the Jewish Community that resided there - and still does! This was definitely money well spent, we have previously walked round and explored similar areas of Palma, but Dani pointed out many details and areas that we had completely missed and have lots of information about the history of the buildings. Even as non- Jewish people, we learnt a lot about Jewish customs and the ways that they would have lived in the past (and present!) Maybe next time we come to Mallorca, we will do a longer tour!

This tour was a highlight of our trip to Majorca. Our guide was full of knowledge and energy and took us back to the history of the chueta Jews. We learned so much in two hours and the time flew by so quickly. We highly recommend this tour.
