You will learn about the Inquisition, forced conversions, and the emergence of the ‘Crypto-Jews’ who publicly professed Catholicism while privately adhering to Judaism. We will also visit the specific streets where the Xueta families have lived for centuries until as recently as the 1960s. Signs of this at-one-point marginalized community can still be found today with many of the current jewelry shops having been kept within their families for generations beforehand. Even the famous Mallorquin pastry, the “ensaimada” is specifically cooked with pork fat as a reaction to the centuries-old prejudice and discrimination.

The description is not at all accurate anymore. The Jewish store referenced as owned by the operators and the end point of the tour no longer exists. The tour was given by someone very nice but not knowledgeable. It was disorganized and meandering. We cut it short because we were miserable trying to get anything out of it. We requested a partial refund, clarifying these details and that we only had half a tour, and we were refunded an insulting 1/6 of the tour price with no message at all. We were so looking forward to this tour, and it ended up being a waste of precious time in Mallorca. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this tour to anyone.

Christina did an excellent job of explaining the history of the Jewish community. We went early morning and there were no crowds. It was our private tour as there were not many people out and about. Highly recommend.

We had an awesome 2 hour private tour with Jewish Majorca during our cruise stop to the island. I went with my 92 year old grandma who has mobility issues and the team was able to adapt the tour for our needs. We learned so much and got to see a side of Majorca that we would have never been able to see on our own. It felt like traveling in time, from the 1200s until modern day in the heart of the old city of Palma. They were easy to communicate with & coordinate a tour that worked for our mobility needs & time schedule. Highly recommend checking on this tour when you visit Majorca!
