Here is where the major part of the masterpieces of the Doria Pamphilj family's private art collection is housed. The Gallery is the part of Palazzo Doria Pamphilj behind which lies the most interesting and oldest history, made up of nobility, politics and the unions between some of the most important noble families.
The Masterpieces: the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj has housed for centuries this unique private collection. It is not only the quality and the value of the masterpieces that is remarkable but also their great number: there are so many that completely cover of the walls of the apartments and the wings of the fantastic galleries. Caravaggio, Tiziano e Raffaello and many other well known Italian artists.

Self guided tour with a radio mostly easy to navigate, I accidentally switched channels to a different language at one point but very easily figured out how to switch back to English. They did not provide headphones but thankfully I had my own pair. Overall a wonderful experience of a beautiful museum.

We bought tickets at the last minute after a google search of things to do in the area. The museum had 3 Caravaggio’s and many other significant paintings. Worth the visit.

I enjoyed this self-guided audio tour. Please take earphones as these are not provided and would have been convenient. I had to hold the audio device to my ear. The Throne Room and the Caravaggio paintings were the highlights for me, but there are many interesting and beautiful works of art.

Completely enjoyed this limited tour- one able to view first floor the guide was very well informed and I am not an 'art' fan but I was entranced by her overview of the items we were viewing - I would certainly do this again next time I am in the area as the second floor was currently unavailable to viewing

When you are in the midst of hot and crowded Rome, find the galleries, palazzos and churches that are cool and modestly popular… and filled with gorgeous art like the Caravaggios here at the Doria Pamphilj.

The art collection is exquisite. At the same time, the gallery was not crowded. So I had quite an intimate time with many of the world art masterpieces.

Easy access to tickets. Many paintings were very dark. The background ceilings mirrors, chandeliers, were beautiful. Great collection.
