Our Sonoma Coast Kayak Tour takes you to the edge of the beautiful Pacific Ocean where we explore the Russian River as it meets the sea. Birds, seals, the occasional passing whale, and relaxing on the river are the highlights of this great day on the water. Expect to spend approximately 2.5 hours on this tour which includes paddling the river and walking on the beach while gazing out on the Pacific Ocean.

We had a delightful morning kayaking with Erik. The river water was calm and wildlife abundant. We enjoyed hearing information from Erik about the area as we paddled, and received great advice for the remainder of our day. A perfect way to spend a summer morning!

Great way to experience a bit of the Russian River and learn about the area. Eric was an awesome guide! Saw lots of wildlife, including some seals and a bald eagle.

This was a really great kayaking tour of the Russian River! The paddling was smooth the whole way out and back and we had sunny weather inland, typical coastal fog near the beach.
Erik is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. He shared so much about the area- everything from climates to history to wildlife.
I'd really recommend this tour!

Had the best time! Eric is a fun and engaging person who knows his stuff! He was professional and was very knowledgeable about the area. The trip was great, lots of fun and a memorable experience! Erik with Smart Tours is an amazing guide for kayaking in the Russian River. Rather than just renting kayaks and attempting to navigate on our own, it was wonderful having a guide like Erik share his knowledge of local habitat and history of the region. It made for a memorable experience for some young first time kayakers visiting from Southern California who will never forget their fun time on the Russian River.

This was the highlight of the weekend trip with my college aged daughter. Because of extremely windy conditions Eric called me the day before our trip and modified the route. He was really knowledgeable about the area, the plants, animals and geography and just a really nice person to spend the day with. Would highly recommend.

We had a great on river tour. Eric is a super knowledgeable and had everything ready to go when we arrived. We saw tons of wildlife and he even took photos so we didn’t have to worry about getting our phones wet! Highly recommended.

The Kayak tour was in a beautiful calm spot on the Russian River, including a cove filled with harbor seals sunning themselves ( and swimming out near to us ). Erik was our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We would recommend this tour for a low-key family-friendly excursion

This was a great experience - so close to home! My husband and I enjoyed learning about the river and the conservation efforts that are taking place in this beautiful area! The morning mist rendered a surreal backdrop along with the harbor seal 🦭 sightings. As a native to this area, Erik was an excellent tour guide since he was able to share some of his childhood memories of the river! I will definitely be bringing my family here again 😌
