Blue Pools is a fantastic beginner canyon. There are 3 - 4 rappels and a scramble/ hike back to the car. The largest rappel is 55 feet. We aim for this trip to take 2 - 3 hrs depending on group size. All of our trips are private so you are not waiting on anyone besides your group. You will meet your guide at the trailhead, become outfitted with the appropriate canyon gear, and then your guide will lead you down this wonderful slot canyon. This canyon has primarily been sculpted through water erosion over time to give us an obstacle course to play in. The canyon is typically dry however can hold a little water after a storm.

Canyoneering with Mike is amazing, he’s charming, funny and very knowledgeable, sharing his expertise on rappelling skills and facts and history about the area. 10/10 would recommend!! I’ll be back to adventure with Mike and Sundial Guides again!

We came to Page to visit Lake Powell/Antelope Canyon but ended up finding Sundial and signing up for a half day of technical canyoneering, which was way cooler than I could’ve imagined and arguably the BEST part of our Utah trip!! Mike was our guide and he was incredible. My friends and I are all pretty scared of heights but he made us feel so comfortable and safe. The canyon itself was stunning and we had it all to ourselves, unlike the crowds at Antelope, which we had visited the day before. If you’re in the area this is a MUST DO and ask for Mike!!
