This mythical place to visit is where local vendors gather every morning to sell fish freshly caught by fishermen.

3. Marche de Noailles
Noailles Market: (Also known as 'Le Marché des Capucins.') A real seasonal, popular, lively, daily fruits/vegetables/spices/nuts/fabrics & ceramics market (not your usual tourist trap!) located in the 1st district (from 08:00 to 19:00 -, from Monday to Saturday.) Rich in culture & tradition, the market is known for its diverse community of residents that come from all over the world. The diversity is evident in the cuisine & the shops in the area.
4. Maison Empereur
Empereur store: Oldest and best hardware store in France! run by the same family since 1827. A real institution for the people of Marseille.
5. Maisons-Laffitte
Librairie des Arcenaulx Jeanne Laffitte Arcenaulx bookshop: An exceptional bookshop in a gorgeous, historical building; Marseille's former arsenal. From literature to human sciences, art & gastronomy. The little extra? The amazing collection of prints, old or newer books devoted to the history of Marseille & Provence.
6. Palais du Pharo
Pharo Palace: The construction of the Palais du Pharo was ordered by Napoleon III for Empress Eugénie in the second half of the 18 th century. It now belongs to the city of Marseille and is a place of reception, congresses and fairs with a spectacular view.
7. Plage des Catalans
"Le Cercle des Nageurs" : Our greatest swimmers, such as Laure and Florent Manaudou, have trained here. "Chez Michel" : Marseilles' best Bouillabaisse restaurant
8. La Porte de L'orient - Monument aux Armees d'Afrique
As its name suggests, the "Porte d'Orient" is a monument to the soldiers of the Orient and far-off lands who fell victim to the First World War (1914-1918). It was designed and built by Gaston Castel, an architect from Marseilles.
9. Vallon des Auffes
On either side of the bridge, this little port-vallon-ansee is home to around 50 small fishermen's cottages, a few restaurants and around 80 berths for traditional fishing boats, including some typical "pointus", whose catches are reserved for local restaurants. Access is protected by a hundred-meter-long rock jetty.

Located in the heart of Marseille's city centre, Malmousque is a village in the 7th arrondissement that contains many treasures from the former days of Marseille. We like to get lost in the maze of its alleys with names as evocative as the "Traverse de la Fausse Monnaie", or the "Rue va à la Calanque". These are all small and tortuous and all seem to lead in one way or another to a small cove or small fishing port. The district is so quiet that it has its French Foreign Legion rest center. As well as the Bains Militaires, a seaside complex reserved for the military and their families. Throughout the Malmousque coast, there is plenty of hidden treasures.
