I will never dare to scuba dive and at Immersed I got a feeling for how it would to be to experience the kelp forest off the docks in Avalon. The big orange fish you can spot by the dock is swimming in pristine blue water, playing peekaboo in the kelp forest. When arriving back the ferry dock in Long Beach all the garbage floating in the harbor felt revolting. Environmental awareness by showing the beauty of the underwater world without being preachy. Bring your kids.

I found the experience to be rather amazing. The 360 view and smallish venue worked perfectly. The film was intriguing, and well done.
I hope to return and get to see more films relating to our seas their conditions and efforts taking place to save them. Bravo well done.

This was such an incredible time! If you want to get in without getting wet, this is the place to go! It is situated in the heart of Avalon.

What a novel and genuinely brilliant concept! Shoot underwater footage using a 360 lens and then host a private viewing in a 360 theater. The footage was dramatic and stunning and it covers the underwater world of Hawaii, Catalina Island, Mexico and so much more. They have beanbags on the floor so you can soak in the overhead experience and the folks were genuinely sweet and engaging.
It also helps that younger folks can sit in awe and hopefully walk out wanting to protect what they just saw. A true contribution to Catalina Island and I wish them the best. My only complaint was that the admission was high. It costs about $30.00 per person and the film is only 30 minutes, for the cost conscious, this might be a problem.

I’m sure this would be a nice thing for families with kids, but for the price and experience, it was overpriced. It also can make you feel sick. I wish they didn’t serve popcorn, as the people munching away really takes away from the experience. It is a nice dark place to get away for 30 minutes though.

This is a new experience on the island. What to know: it is a small dome (think pop up tent) that seats about 15 adults in chairs and about 5 kids in bean bags up front. It is a 30 minute underwater Imax type experience. Pros: Nice 30 minute break during the day to calm down, cool off, watch a relaxing movie that takes you underwater in many areas around the world. Not really any cons just understand you are not walking into a full Imax experience that you might have had elsewhere. Good for kids up to about age 10.
