We don't believe in "cookie-cutter" travel experiences and neither should you! We provide the most personalized and unique experience possible, meaning every tour we give is never the same. With the exception of a few must-try foods, the rest is built around what you're curious about tasting.

In addition to our tiny group sizes, you will be led by an incredibly knowledgeable guide. Did you know baguettes are some of the worst bread in France and you should be asking for something else? Did you know there are seasons for cheese? Would you like to have someone walk you through the regions of French wine? Our guides can do this because they are food professionals - former chefs, food writers, and wine experts - not a student who has memorized a script. We have selected only the highest quality shops to showcase some of the best France has to offer. Come hungry as portion sizes are generous!

We were hosted by Alexandre. He as most accommodating, extremely knowledgeable and a great communicator. Alexandre made us feel right at home and introduced us to the real Bordeaux, with its culture of wine, cheese and bread. What an absolute treat! We can highly recommend the experience, and even more so Alexandre. Merci beaucoup Alex.

What a fabulous time! Our guide, Alexandre, was informative, engaging, and relaxed- a great combination. I loved the small group size, the fact that we got to have a say in the varieties of baked goods and cheese available for us to try, and the generous portions. We definitely skipped dinner that night after our tour. We only spent one night in Bordeaux on our trip, and this tour gave us the chance to take in some local and culinary history without feeling rushed. This tour is well worth the price.

Our tour guide was Alex. He was an expert in cheeses, meats, breads, and pairings. His city center part of our tour was excellent, too. Overall, a great tour and worth the cost.

Wonderful tour with Alexandra who took our group to high quality traditional venues where we had the opportunity to choose food (bread, cheese, charcuterie and pastries) which we then ate together at a local wine merchant while tasting some outstanding wine.

A wonderful tour with Alexandre, interesting reports about Bordeaux, very well selected bread, cheese and sausages, which we later ate together in a very tasteful wine bar, accompanied by delicious wine and Cremant.
The next morning Alexandre sent the addresses of the shops where we had shopped. I immediately took the opportunity and paid a visit to the wonderful cheese shop.

It was really a great and enjoyable experience.

We had a delightful time on this tour with Alexandre. He had an excellent grasp of the city’s history, and an impressive understanding of both food and wine. The tour focused on wine and the tasty food (bread, meat and cheese) that pair well with the wines he selected. I felt we had MORE than enough food and did not go hungry. The only thing that I might add is some fruit since it felt a little heavy on cheese and bread and it would have been nice to have a fresh counterbalance. We also loved the wine bar where you eventually pause for the last hour of the trip. The trip is a little pricey compared to some others, but for 3.5 hours and the amount of food and drink we had, I would say it was worth it.

A warm afternoon in Bordeaux - America, Ireland and South Africa represented.
Alex took us on a very informative walk through the old city stopping at an authentic bakery, a butchery and a cheese shop. A range of different items were purchased and we had a feast in a wine bar - different tastes from the region paired with a Boudreaux red and white.

I usually avoid group tours but this time I was traveling solo in Bordeaux and decided to book this tour and I am so glad I did it because it exceeded all my expectations.

From the moment we started, our guide Alexandre, set the tone for an exceptional experience. As we strolled through the charming streets of Bordeaux, he regaled us with fascinating tales of the city's rich history and vibrant culture. We stopped at several local shops where we bought a delectable array of bread, cheeses, and cured meats.

Alexandre then took us to a lovely wine bar where, amidst the cozy ambiance, we were treated to a tasting of exquisite local wines expertly paired with the sumptuous cheeses, bread, and cured meats we had procured earlier.

As we savored each sip and bite, Alexandre facilitated engaging discussions ranging from French gastronomy to current global events, creating an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie.

I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone seeking an authentic and enriching exploration of Bordeaux's culinary and cultural delights. Alexandre's exceptional guidance and hospitality truly made it an experience to remember.
