WHAT'S INCLUDED

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Medellin
Meet your tour guide at the designated meeting point in Medellin early in the morning. We'll travel directly to the famous Peñol Rock (La Piedra del Peñol) for approx. 2 -hours. Here we'll spend approximately 1.5-hour to give you more than enough time to climb the 742 stairs that take you to the summit to enjoy spectacular views of Lake Guatapé and the surrounding mountains.
2. Guatape / Piedra Del Penol
Visit the gigantic Piedra del Peñol where you will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to ascend and descend to the top. The ascent to the top of the Stone is not included, it is optional (USD 6 Approx.)
3. Guatape
In the town of Guatape you will enjoy a 40-minute guided tour, visiting the most emblematic places. Then You will have one hour of free time to explore Guatapé on your own.
4. Malecon de Guatape
Enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant of the region located on the Malecón de Guatapé. We have three options of typical dishes.

You will enjoy a 45-minute boat tour of the lake where you will enjoy beautiful views of the landscape, information about the reservior and some music.
6. Parque El Poblado
We arrive back in Medellin somewhere between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.. in the evening. However, our return to Medellin is always conditioned by local traffic patterns and events. It is impossible to guarantee the time we will be back in Medellin so plan your post-Guatape activities accordingly.

• Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
• Public transportation options are available nearby
• Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
• Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
• Not recommended for pregnant travelers
• Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
• Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
• We recommend bringing comfortable shoes and clothes that allow you to walk and a light jacket that lowers the temperature in the afternoon.
• Bring an original identification document, passport, DNI, or cedula to add them to the travel insurance and also the police may require it.
• It is recommended to bring cash (the climb to the rock only accepts cash and Colombian pesos, 25,000 pesos per person ( 6 USD Aprox) ).
• This tour/activity will have a maximum of 40 travelers
• The order of the itinerary may change at the guide's discretion
• Remember If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
• We adhere to tourism law 300 for No Shows. If you do not arrive at the Meeting Point at the designated time or you do not consume/use the agreed upon services, there will be no refund.

We had a wonderful time on the tour. We had 3 young children and it was a very memorable experience. The tour guides were very helpful and accomodating. Patricia and Phil went above and beyond to share their knowledge and experience to make it memorable for all the guests on the tour.

A good way to spend the day away from Medellin. Make sure you take a lot of water. It was a fun time, and the place they took us to eat was delicious.

What an all encompassing trip to experience a little more of Colombia outside Medellin! The tour of the rock was epic and the time allotted was perfect. The addition of time spent in the city of Penol and the boat ride onto Guatape Lake provided downtown from the excitement of Medellin. Highly recommend

If you're looking to visit Guatapé for a day, this tour was a perfect value for the price. I felt like we got plenty out of it, with the hike up the rock and views from the top being the main highlight. You only need 20 minutes or so up there and it did not take long to ascend or descend. I felt like we had plenty of time at each location. The lunch made me happy and the time we spent in Guatapé was nice. The boat ride was better than I expected, very relaxing, and they sell drinks and beer on the boat which was great. Our guides, Alejandro and Deus, were both very friendly and approachable. Deus was the English guide and I was able to understand him and speak with him throughout the day.

I would recommend this tour to others most definitely.

The tour guides were fantastic, best English speaking guides we have had in medellin. Food was great information was great. Well organised efficient and talk about value for money. A must do! I also left my glasses on the bus and they sent me a message immediately and have organised for me to be able to pick them back up the following day.

The tour was amazing, the times in each of the activities was also ideal to enjoy each one. The team of that day, Patricia, Don Javier and Felipe were our guides and at all times we felt safe and learned and enjoyed a lot. Highly recommended to take this tour with them, it was a perfect day. My son and I had the best time.

This tour was amazing! There are truly no words to describe how impressive El Peñol is! Javier, Felipe, and Patricia treated us amazing and gave us such a knowledge tour. We were able to visit Guatape and learn about its history, shop locally, and eat traditional Colombian food. If you’re looking to visit Colombia, you must try this tour!
