First day golden circle guide was disappointed, he was quite arrogant &a bit rude, we are sat in the van and I can see the time there's two people were 3 minutes late and he just said to them you're late in not very good way .
He tried to explain everything as he drives,I'm not sure about everyone but sometime when I'm sitting in a van travelling I actually fell asleep, once we arrived in tourist spot drop us off and told us what time and where to pick us up and he just popped back in the van or disappeared because of that we missed the first water fall which really wants to see,
He just said follow the road 10 minutes up to the fall &10 minutes down but there was quite a few falls in between so we thought we got the right one.
Around 4:30 the guide drop us off the hotel look good ! But some emergencies situation happen my friend certainly not well so we try to call the reception using the phone in the hotel room we tried many times and then we realize the phone it's not working so I have to change my pajama and run up to the reception with water dripping from my hair, which the nighttime receptionist he was very nice but no emergency doctor & found the address for emergency clinic nearby also said the hotel having problems only with the floor we stayed,.
Well I thought the hotels supposed to let the guests know , phone line is down when we first checki in anyway we got a taxi all the way to the emergency clinic by ourselves .
Next day morning I went to the receptionist who check us in and told him you should have told us there's a phone problem ,he did apologize but he looked like he doesn't mean it.
Second day we've got a new guide for south coast day trip guide Christina , I only can say she was excellent and very helpful that's why I gave this trip four star because of her if not Christina this trip not even earn any star from me.

The trip with nice travel was excellent. I especially appreciate our guide, Christina. Beautiful, careful, humorous and professional. The atmosphere in minibus is really comfort. The scenic views are astonishing. I would definitely recommend this trip to my friends.
不是这个点评怎么只算中文呢。总之这个确实挺不错的,尤其是酒店所在的位置。五点到了之后,我自己再往山里徒步了四个小时。很漂亮,有很多野生温泉。这个导游很奈斯,很热情。good.

Nice tour but we didn’t visit two of the locations in the itinerary, which was disappointing. Hotel is very basic and didn’t cater for vegan breakfast.

Both tour guides were very knowledgeable and accommodating. The days were a good mix of travel and sightseeing with plenty of stops to stretch your legs and take in the scenery.

On Day. 1, we had an amazing Golden circle Tour in perfect weather: very warm, blue skies, bright sunshine. Our driver and guide,Elias Andersen, was excellent- very cooperative, responsive and a good storyteller. He also gave us plenty of time for hikes, meals and bathroom breaks. The beauty of the Golden Circle is just second to none: we walked in Pingvellar National Park, had plenty of time to look at the geysers in Geisir, hiked up to see magnificent Gullfoss (The Golden) Waterfall) from all angles, walk around miraculous Keri’s crater with oval turquoise lake at the bottom of it. Elias dropped us off the Hotel Ork for our overnight stay in Hveragerði, the town famous for geothermal activity.

Day 2 was a totally fabulous experience:

The bus has arrived right on time and we fell in love with our guide, Maria, right from from the start. She is the most cheerful, welcoming, approachable and accommodating person, who understood our wishes perfectly and was always willing to give us some extra time, if we needed it.

The first notable sight along the way was the loneliest tree of Iceland: a little fir on the rock in the middle of the river. So simple and so picturesque…

Then we passed through the nice little town called Selfoss, the place where the famous chess player and the world champion Bobby Fisher lived after he had defected from the US to Iceland. We had a short stop there only because someone in our group asked about it and Maria, who accommodates all requests, made a stop just for him to take a photo.

The next stop was lovely Urridafoss Falls, a mighty waterfall not popular with tourists for some reason. We also crossed the river where famous Icelandic wild salmon comes from.

Continued our journey and admired the view of Hekla volcano again at the distance. The volcano is active, but the last eruption had happened in 1918.

It always amazes me how people live near active volcanoes, but in Iceland they do it for generations accepting evacuation orders as something normal, and on many occasions these evacuations last for several months. Maria told us it is absolutely safe to live close to volcanoes because Iceland scientists predict eruptions precisely. Westman Islands is the place of active volcanoes, where people live and work.

Then we passed by another big volcano, Katla volcano and glacier. Looked magnificent in bright sunshine.

Next we had a short stop to look at the Eyjafjallajökull Volcano (the “E16 Volano” had erupted in 2010 and caused massive international flights cancellations) and some
old uninhabited huts built in the mountain, followed by several charming old houses of the Skogar Museum.

After that, we arrived to the gorgeous Skogar Waterfall, where I climbed the steps up to the top of the fall (not for those with bad knees). Actually, the views were more spectacular from the ground: magnificent mighty stream of falling water and the rainbow! Along the climb I was so close to the rainbow I thought I could touch it.

Next equally exciting stop was at the Sólheimajökull Glacier, where we didn’t do the hike inside the glacier, but we did hike to the entrance of the cave and had a chance to admire jaw-dropping views of the glacier.

Then we arrived at Dyrhólaey ("Door Hill Island") in hope to see the puffins but they have already started their migration. Well, the island is so gorgeous that I didn’t miss the puffins. I couldn’t take my eyes off dramatic cliffs, the ocean, and towering rocks of Reynisfjara at the distance.

Then we had a short refueling break at the charming little town of Vik, took photos of the iconic church, and had a late lunch at the Cafe Lava.

Soon after Vik we arrived to the highlight of our trip: Reynisfjara - The Black Beach. It is a miracle of a sight: a symphony of black volcanic ash on the beach, mighty black and golden cliffs, deep caves with whimsical mosaic of the walls inside, and maybe even puffins, but we still failed to find them.

The last stop was at Seljalandsfoss & Gljufrabui Waterfalls. So much fun for kids and adults! We came very close to the falls but didn’t venture to pass under them and get an unwanted shower.

I took a lot of pictures and said hello to two very friendly sheep, who came really close to greet us.

Then an 90 minutes drive to Reykjavik.. We arrived at the Reykjavik Lights Hotel around 8:45pm.

We are so grateful to Maria! She is the best guide in the world, who loves her country and generously shares her passion with us, travelers. Maria, you are Iceland! At least for us you are!

We missed the beginning of our tour, the pickup location was the BSI Bus terminal at 9 am, unfortunately, our flight arriving in Reykjavík was delayed more than 2 hours due to the weather conditions at O'hare international airport in Chicago.
We want to thank you, the wonderful travel agents from Nice Travel-Iceland, Elisa, Michal, Weronika, and anyone else that was involved for the help and patience with this situation, which was my fault for scheduling our tour immediately after landing in KEF.
Furthermore, we were picked up by Pjetur a wonderful storyteller, we learned about Iceland's history, past and present, he had a great sense of humor, we laughed so hard that our stressful late arrival complications despaired, Pjetur drove us to the point of the tour where the rest of the group was at the moment.
Not only that, but we have a fantastic time after joining the tour.
The overnight accommodations were amazing, with a typical Icelandic breakfast (yummy!)
We enjoyed wonderful sights, South Iceland, the golden circle, craters, glaciers, puffins, waterfalls, volcanoes, and black sand beach.

Overall excellent guide, and very knowledgeable; My teenagers and I had an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!!

This was an amazing two days. We had slightly different group both days as some did not do both days but by the end of the trip all of us were great friends. JK was out guide for the first day showing us the Golden circle. He was full of excellent information and shared a lot about Icelandic life between stops. Egill was our guide for the South Coast. He was a man of few words but made sure we had information on each stop. Both guides added several bonus stops that were great. Our group was on time which gave them the room to add items and we all enjoyed the extra stops. Our hotel in Hveragerði, Hotel Ork was lovely and we had time to explore the town in the evening and morning. Egill really watched the weather and reworked our itinerary to make sure we saw things in the best possible light. I cannot recommend this tour and Nice Travel more highly. It was great!
