I am a devoted cat lover, currently living in Italy. Although I'm Brazilian at heart, my career brought me to this beautiful country. Sadly, this move meant leaving my two beloved cats with my parents, which I miss dearly every day.
When I stumbled upon the existence of the Cat Museum in Budapest, I felt an instant surge of excitement. Without hesitation, I booked a flight to experience it firsthand. Visiting the museum was an incredible way to bridge the gap and feel closer to my furry friends.
The museum itself is a gem. The ambiance is delightful, with perfect, cozy decor and an atmosphere brimming with positive energy. The resident cats are not only stunning but also incredibly gentle and affectionate. I was enchanted by the entire experience.
For all fellow cat enthusiasts out there, this place is an absolute must-visit! I loved every moment and am already dreaming of the day I can return.

Very small. cramped low ceiling space. Cats are certainly not interested in company, plenty of them and well kept.
Minimal display or merchandise.

I recommend booking online so you can choose the access time slot. The cats are very well kept, very sociable and with lots of space available. It was a great experience, useful for those who miss their cat during the holidays.

The cats are very very cute. The place offers various spots to chill in and information about cats.
The lady that works there adores the cat and that's a plus for me.
The cats themselves had their own personality. I was lucky enough to play with one of them and I got to pet all of them. A lovely experience overall!

Excellent with around 10 different breeds of cats who were all very friendly. Cheap entry ticket to be able to stay for an hour and a half with a free coffee on admission. A must see for cat lovers. My favourite cat was the Maine coon and the Scottish cat.
My only advice would be to explain to tourists the the visit is an hour and a half as we were unsure of how long to stay.

It was a cute little extra to our day, very friendly cats, but it was stretching it out a little for 1.5 hrs unless you really need your kitty fix.

Impeccable staff.
Very clean space, at the entrance we have to disinfect our hands, which I thought was very correct. The cats are very well looked after and are very sweet.
The space, which in itself was already relaxing (smell, ambient music, sofas) has 10 very cute kittens.

Ok , so i am not going to give a bad review, its a quirky thing that my wife wanted to go to, the cats were as cool as cats but in my opinion, too many people not enough cats.
