This was the highlight of our Costa Rica trip! Our tour guide, Gino, was kind and knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure that we got to see toucans, monkeys, and sloths, even stopping a few times on the side of the road to get additional viewings/photos. He even stopped at a roadside fruit stand and bought us some pineapple- the most fresh and delicious I'd had! The waterfall was beautiful- one big one and two small ones nearby. I am a bit out of shape and walked a bit slowly and there was no pressure to walk faster and everyone was supportive and kind. We saw a baby sloth up close- we got so lucky! The food was good, water was provided, and ample restroom breaks at each stop. Air conditioned van, and Gino made sure we made it to each stop on time and talked to us about Costa Rica on the way there. The coffee and chocolate tour was good too, but definitely the highlights for me were the waterfall and sloth sighting! Wear sneakers and bring bug spray! Small group- only 8 of us! All the tour guides were respectful and engaging. Warning for those with religious trauma, there was some uncomfortable religious talk from Gino kind of loudly for a good chunk of the way back (many other passengers were Christians) but I just put in headphones and listened to music; won't take off a star from this though as I had a great time! I would have preferred he just told us additional details about Costa Rica. Overall great trip though! Good email communication about pick up time and arrived on time, however check your spam folder because my time confirmation email and pickup time email went to my junk folder. He was responsive when I called and asked the time though! Gracias!

Amazing tour. Our guides Carlos and Michael were both knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour van is brand new and very comfortable.
Tips: Be prepared for some travel time between destinations, traffic can be bad at times…but this is how it is in Costa Rica. It’s all worth it!
Bring a snack. It’s a late lunch.
Bring a rain jacket and shoes that can get dirty, waterproof even better. It’s the rainforest folks :)
They stop at a big souvenir store last so you can get all your shopping done on this tour as well, bonus!

Gino was excellent! The waterfall was closed that day (we got notified in a timely manner by Gino on the drive, but Gone was able to take us to an alternate adventure to a beautiful river and allowed us time to take a dip. We saw the remaining planned events and saw sloths, three types of monkeys (Gino was keeping an eye out, even on the roads on the way) and two varieties of Toucans. Then we wnet to a great spot to enjoy the local food. I highly recommend!

Great informative tour! We got to see lots of sloths up close as well as many other animals. The coffee and chocolate tour was super cool too and you got to taste everything! Plus 3 waterfalls in one!!! Lunch was amazing!

The places visited were nice and short walks. Espectacular water fall. The sloth sanctuary was nice the volunteer young lady found very good animals to show us unfortunately is not like you can see many sloths in the forest we only got to see one. Tucán birds are difficult to find. Coffee and cocoa experience was good and the best part is when they show the process for a good cup of coffee and hot chocolate .

We had a fantastic time on this tour. Ivan was attentive to our entire group’s needs and knowledgeable about the area and sites we were visiting. Waterfalls, sloths, frogs, and a coffee & chocolate adventure rolled into a daylong tour that felt personal and curated just for us. A stop at a roadside fruit stand to taste local pineapple and fruits and lunch was also great. Can’t wait to return to Costa Rica so I can book another tour with them!

Our driver from Pure Nature Tours, Carlos, was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. He knew the answers to all of our questions! All the tours were very well organized at each stop. Waterfall was gorgeous, we saw so many animals at the sloth sanctuary, lunch was amazing, and I will never again complain about the price of coffee after the farm tour. It is very labor intensive! I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a lovely overview of Costa Rican landscape, animals, and culture.

Our guide Pablo really helped us make the most of our full day excursion! We felt very safe with our family of 7 and his knowledge of Costa Rica really added to our experience. Saw several sloths at the sanctuary as well as many other animals. Would definitely recommend and will be using this tour company on our next visit to Costa Rica!

My daughter and I had the best time on this tour! Our guide, Gino, was so passionate about making sure we experienced Costa Rica in a real and personal way. He had the best people ready to take us through the different places and gave us an amazing lesson about the ecology, culture and geography of this land. He off roaded twice to help us have rare glimpses of Howler Monkeys and stopped at 3 different vendors to have us taste varieties of native fruits. You can’t get a better experience of Costa Rica.
