Our confirmed time of pick-up was 8am by the tour operator.
We communicated through viator messaging as there is no other way to contact them.
Within a few hours after which you cannot cancel, the tour operator messaged me informing me I would need to pay the driver extra cash in Yen for the pick-up from the Airport (for a LAYOVER tour).
We arrived at Haneda Airport at 6am.
At 8am, no one showed up or contacted us.
So I emailed the tour operator. No response. There was no other way to contact them except through Viator.
10 minutes later, I contacted the tour operator again. No response.
10 minutes later, again I send a message and no response. I felt like I was scammed from this booking.
This went on for almost 90 minutes. I contact the tour operator. No response, no contact. No information on where the driver was or what I was supposed to do.
I had to contact Viator and they gave me the number of the tour operator.
Finally at 9:30am (90 minutes later), I get a call from the driver. He is running late. He was supposed to arrive at 8am though. We meet up in the airport and off on the adventure we go.
The driver was friendly and his English was good enough. However, some things were lost in translation though.
I do love the fact that the driver did ask us what we like to do first. We were able to customize the day to what we wanted to see and do. He gave us suggestions and drove us around. He allowed us to get off where we wanted and waited for us at the van while we did our own exploration. So the tour itself was great as you have your personal chauffeur.
But my only displeasure was from the tour operator and how they do not respond.
If you need anything, good luck because you will be lost on what to do.

Very good experience with the tour. Our guide was very helpful and accommodating with changes due to weather. Get to see all the famous places in Tokyo.

We had a great day. Abe was an awesome and very knowledgeable guide. He was courteous and attentive to all our needs. He adapted the tour to what we wanted to see and showed us great places to eat and shop. He even provided umbrellas when it started raining. The van was quite comfortable and spacious for our family.
Overall, we had a great experience. Highly recommended.

We are so happy we used Glocal. Our driver Caffrey took really good care of us. He was very understanding about customizing our itinerary and even though it was pouring rain we were able to see everything we had planned plus do some shopping at hard to get to places. He was really knowledgeable as well. Glocal did a great job of connecting us prior to the tour and they were very proactive so we didn’t have to worry. Great experience- thank you!

What a fantastic way to spend our first day in Tokyo! We were initially torn between a walking tour and a driving tour, but I’m thrilled we chose the driving tour. It was an incredible experience. We were able to see so much more of Tokyo than we could have on foot.
Our guide, Ural, was exceptional. His extensive knowledge and warm hospitality made the tour even more enjoyable. He shared fascinating insights about each site we visited, and his enthusiasm was contagious.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo. It was the perfect introduction to this vibrant city.

Tokyo tower, Skytree, couple of shrines, Imperial palace and Shibuya crossing were covered in a day. Our English speaking guide Shahrukh made the trip worth!

Our driver, Shoru, was great! He navigated us to many places around Tokyo, despite the heavy rain and traffic. He was able to deliver us to our requested destinations, and he also had great suggestions of other places to visit! He provided umbrellas for all of us, and made sure that we stayed as dry as possible.
Some of our favorite spots were the national Museum and the Mei-Ji Shrine. He also found us a lunch venue where aspiring sumo wrestlers dine.
It was a great introduction to the city for us as first time visitors to Japan. We highly recommend this driving tour!
