1. Oshino Hakkai
Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海) is a touristy set of eight ponds in Oshino, a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, located between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako on the site of a former sixth lake that dried out several hundred years ago. The eight ponds are fed by snow melt from the slopes of nearby Mount Fuji that filters down the mountain through porous layers of lava for over 80 years, resulting in very clear spring water that is revered by the locals.
2. Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine
Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, also known as Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔, Chūreitō) is a five storied pagoda on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji off in the distance. The pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine and was built as a peace memorial in 1963 nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine's main buildings. The location offers spectacular views of Mount Fuji in combination with the pagoda. The spot is particularly popular among photographers as it allows for some wonderfully stereotypical shots of Japan.
3. Gotemba Premium Outlets
This destination will be visited only if you want to do some shopping and if you can skip a few places instead. This outdoor shopping centre allows shoppers to enjoy the views of Mt. Fuji as they take a look at the 200+ shops that are available. Not only can visitors shop, but the abundance of restaurants and food stores allows them to grab a quick meal in between shops or after finishing up a long day of shopping. This makes the Gotemba Premium Outlets a perfect location for anyone wanting to shop around and eat some delicious food at the same time.
4. Lake Kawaguchiko
By far the most visited of the Fuji Five Lakes, Lake Kawaguchiko serves as the main point of entry to this famous lake region. It is the second largest of the Five Lakes in terms of surface area and the second most shallow with a depth of only 14.6 meters. It has a surface elevation of approximately 830 meters, which accounts for its relatively cool summers and icy winters. Lake Kawaguchiko attracts especially many visitors in spring during cherry blossom season and in autumn when the fall foliage comes out in full force.

Ropeway charges are not included in the package. This cable car brings you up the 220 meters to the observation point and offers fantastic views of the lake as you ascend. The Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway ascends 400 meters from the eastern shore of Lake Kawaguchiko to an observation deck near the peak of Mount Tenjo. From the observation deck, which sits more than 1000 meters above sea level, there are panoramic views of the lake below and of Mount Fuji.
6. Kawaguchiko Station Bldg.
The prettiest Lawson Store in the world with astonishing view of Mt. Fuji in the background and Kawaguchiko Station.
7. Yamanakako Lake Side Bowl
Lake Yamanakako is the largest of the Fuji Five Lakes and has the third-highest elevation of any lake in Japan. It is also the closest of the five to Mount Fuji and offers spectacular views of the iconic peak.

We had a wonderful time at our Mt Fuji tour! Can’t say enough good things about this tour. Even pre trip Sanela was extremely responsive and flexible, as I changed my vehicle to a bigger one, added Hakone to our tour (and removed it later on) etc. Our driver John was extremely helpful and kind, he even helped my 74 year old dad walk up 700 steps in one of the shrines! We had hotel pickup at 3 pickup points in Tokyo which was extremely convenient. The vehicle was clean, spacious, in great condition and perfect for our group of 8 people. We were lucky to have amazing weather on day of our tour!

Wonderful experience with our tour guide/driver. He was very flexible with our schedule as we have to make some last minute changes. He ensures that everyone is comfortable. Unfortunately, the cloudy weather hide Mt. Fuji.

John was our guide and driver, and he was fantastic. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We were lucky to have a beautiful summer day for our tour. We visited all the places I had planned, but instead of the Ropeway and slow boat cruise, John recommended the 20-minute speedboat ride, which turned out to be an incredible experience. My two teenage daughters said it was the highlight of the trip.

John also took us to an excellent Japanese restaurant for lunch. With some extra time on our hands, he brought us to two unexpected lovely places: the Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine and Lake Yamanaka to feed the swans. He also took us to a local fruit and vegetable store where we bought fresh, local fruits at great prices. Overall, it was a wonderful experience touring with John, and I highly recommend it. I would definitely take a day tour with John again! Arigato Gozaimasu John!

When I booked this tour through TripAdvisor before visiting Japan, I was a little bit nervous because it was the first time I booked a tour through TripAdvisor. However, the communication from its local operator "Glocal Japan" was great. I got the email before we left to Japan and received WhatsApp messages on the day before the tour date. The driver Caffrey showed up on time at the hotel on the tour date. Caffrey was a pleasure to chat with and he is polite, thoughtful and knowledgeable about the Mount Fuji area. On the day when we visited Mount Fuji, it was a cloudy day. The summit of the mountain was covered by the clouds. Caffrey customized the visiting options for us and helped us to have the best experience we could have for the weather. Our family had a great time and enjoyed the private tour very much. We are so grateful to have Caffrey as our tour guide and wholeheartedly recommend him.
