This activity comes out differently because the guest shall learn how to cook with the spices and come up with tasty Panamanian and African dishes.
The guests shall be cooking with fresh ingredients as they learn new cooking skills. These new cooking skills make my experience unique.

Chef Dave was phenomenal, engaging, funny, prepared, and helpful. I couldn’t ask for a better activity. This was the one I’d recommend the most out of everything I did this entire trip. Food turned out amazing as well.

What an excellent evening!! Not only is Dave an amazing chef with so many tips for how to cook, what to put with what, what to avoid, etc., but he manages to assemble the most eclectic yet enjoyable groups of tourists, welcoming them all into his home. All travelers, all foodies, all fun, and a delicious meal at the end!!

We had the best time learning to cook with Dave, he was so passionate and really made learning to cook these dishes fun. I would highly recommend taking this class and if I ever come back to Panama, I will definitely come take another class.

Panama was a vibe but the highlight was this in home Afro-Panamanian cooking class. All fresh ingredients. This chef and his wife welcomed us into their home and it felt like family.
We cooked Bacalao, coconut rice and beans and Tostones. 🔥

Dave is SO kind, funny, and caring. The warmth that he and his partner share radiates throughout the home and shapes the whole experience. They livened up the experience with comedy, introspection, and connection.
Dave shared so much information about cooking (in general), Panamanian and Latin American food, and life in Panama. It was very well suited for everyone—from folks with no cooking experience to chefs with decades of experience! The food was delicious.
I plan to do this experience again next time I'm in Panama City.

You absolutely must take this cooking class when coming to Panama City. Dave was an incredible host. Kind, funny, and he took the time to explain the steps for novice cookers like myself. We got to eat great food with good company. Dave was extremely welcoming and made this experience feel more like family just having dinner than a class.

This was so much fun and worth every penny! My mom, sisters and I had so much fun learning to cook the Afropanamanian food and then getting to eat what we made was even better. This was an amazing experience!

When you are in Panama this is truly a gem. Chef Dave is extremely hospitable. It as an authentic experience and the food was amazingly! Chef Dave is informative about each dish we cook. The best part is he is for the community, he gives to his neighbors and it is extremely admirable.
