I had an amazing experience with our Mount Batur driver, Pedro. He was punctual, arriving early to ensure we had ample time. The car was clean and comfortable, making the early morning trip pleasant. Our driver’s friendly and knowledgeable demeanor added great value; he provided helpful local insights and tips. His driving was safe and smooth, and he made sure we were well-prepared for our hike. We had an awesome little trek with our guide Ayu, super friendly and understanding of the groups pace! It’s a fairly easy walk and the views from the top are stunning! It’s the second time I’ve organised this through mr John, very happy and would love to go again!

Ketut really made our mt batur experience. If it wasn’t for him I definitely wouldn’t have made it. He guided me and let me hold onto him as and when needed for support. When we got to the top he gave us the best seat for fantastic views. Ketut always made sure we was ok and very accommodating. Even prepared breakfast which was perfect. He was great at taking photos and making sure we was always happy.
John picked us up right on time and made our journey to the starting point a breeze.

We were picked up by our driver from Lovina 1:30 in the night, we were transported to Mount Batur in two hours and began our trek with another guide (sorry, can't recall what their names were). Our trekking guide was amazing, cheerful young guy, who took us two immediately to the trek once we arrived to the parking lot. In the middle of our journey to the top, he suggested that we'd take the hard route, because he noticed we are fit enough to do that and that we wouldn't need to use the easy route, which is also used by numerous motorbikes that take people, who don't want to walk, up to the mountain. We were almost the first to arrive to the top and got good front row spot to enjoy our breakfast and the sunrise! The clouds did spoil the sunrise, unfortunately, but the experience itself didn't let us down. We visited the peak of the mountain, took a lot of pictures and then started to walk (or, at times, run) down the mountain where our driver picked us up and drove us back to our hotel. The overall experience was amazing, we felt it as a must to tip our trekking guide, because he was truly amazing fellow and guide."

To start off the day, we were picked up on time by our driver John early in the morning. He had a very nice comfortable car so that we were able to nap while he drove us to locations (having woken up at 1am for the hike!). Our hike was led by Kadek. He has been hiking up Mt Batur since she was 10 years old, so has lots of stories to share about him time on the mountain. He encouraged us to make viewpoint stops at locations where you could see a clear starry night sky or the night view of Ubud. When at the top, he cooked us a lovely hikers breakfast and showed us the hot steam location where she was able to steam all the foods served. We had lots of photos taken by Kadek, which will be printed as they were really lovely.
We highly recommend using John for his services as we unfortunately became seriously unwell while on holiday and had to change our plans with him very last minute. John was able to quickly offer us alternatives and arranged for us to move the date to a week later when we hoped to be feeling better (for a transport fee as that had been pre-booked). It was so well appreciated as the views were incredible and we would highly recommend the climb for anyone who is capable of doing so.

The most beautiful sunrise ive seen in my life, the whole experience was amazing. john took us to very good places after the hike and explained us all our doubts about Bali.

My boyfriend and I were hiking on Batur with John.
The Driver he sent us was such a kind person and we really liked the drive with him. He drove very good.
Also the Mountain guide was so sweet and a very good and talented mountaineer, its very cool to hike with a lokal who knows the mountain. The breakfest on the summit he made was delicious. Both spoke good english.
We highly recommend this tour.
