Overall, the day was simply... average. The rides were absolutely incredible, and I love them to pieces. I was very excited to try the new ride Hyperia - we chose this day (Wednesday the 19th) in particular with hopes of shorter queues and a chance to ride it, but as soon as we arrived it was announced it was closed for the entire day even though my sister and her boyfriend had ridden it just the day before! It was thoroughly disappointing as it was the one ride I hadn't done before, why open and announce the ride if you're going to close it constantly. The queues weren't bad (I waited tops 50mins with some good timing, but definitely weirdly long for a Wednesday during school time, but can't control that) and I had a lovely time on saw, swarm, and all the other iconic rides. Didn't go on Colossus however, I have been on that ride twice and it has broken down with me on it twice. They did give me free fast passes each time, but that combined with the massive headache you receive from the seats slamming your head from side to side make it no where near worth it. Also complained with another couple in the Saw queue experiencing the same disappointment with the closed ride/entire section of the park.

The worst of all, was the food. First of all, rather expensive, but I would be able to excuse that had the service been even decent. It was simply awful. We went to Tacoteria, and as a lover of Mexican food, I was very excited as I had never eaten there before. We got in, and the person taking the order from us already struggled to listen to what we were saying, and ended up getting my order wrong and forgetting things that we ordered. When receiving the food, we were thoroughly, once again, disappointed having seen what they had missed. We requested what they had forgotten, and after an absurdly long back and forth for simply wanting to get what we had ordered, we finally received it. It took at least 5 minutes just to receive the missing sour cream due to the incredibly long back and forth we had with the staff members. I was not happy with the mistake in my order, but we did not have enough time in the day to request it to be remade due to the fact that we wished to get on more rides, and we'd only have more of our time wasted to get that fixed. Also, my partners food was practically falling apart. He got the soft tacos and all of the filling, was simply falling apart as he tried to eat, and it wasn't even very good.

Furthermore, the fun games are definitely rigged! No surprise to no one there, as that's how all those games are, but I have a very competitive spirit and spent way too much money on those - definitely worldly overpriced, and Thorpe Park should spend some of that money fixing the rides, and getting better service in their food places.

Overall, this is the first full day bad experience I've had, other times I've gone it's been rather good! The rides I will always be fairly happy with (get hyperia fixed and sort out colossus please!) but all the other times I've either stuck to the fast food places (Burger King or KFC) or the buffet, if you don't want to receive bad service, I'd recommend sticking to those - the Pasta and Pizza buffet is good, but once again, expensive.

Didn’t have a single problem at all. Queue lines were quite long but that’s expected as it was a hot day. Enjoyed every minute whilst i was there and all the staff are very welcoming and friendly.

Rides were very good. All the big coasters had pretty long queues but that's to be expected even though we didn't go on a particularly busy day. overall had a great time with friends

My experience was I felt like I was singled out as the person in front of me and the one behind me were not asked to empty their pockets, take off their watches or even their belts. When entering the park and crossing the security it feels like you are at the airport crossing the immigration. Thrope Park is from a few theme Parks where there are more rides for young adults, but i guess thats why the ques are long even on a week day. The RollerCoaster are simply amazing. Worth going but because of my initial experience when entering the park I doubt I would go again

We decided to go here because we wanted to try out Amusement parks in UK. Overall we enjoyed it a lot. The good parts of the park are the variety of rides, good staff, clean facilities, lots of food places (though expensive). However, we did have some issues throughout the day and wished some things were different. So here is a detailed review of all the rides we went.
1) Hyperia - This was the first ride we went on and since we arrived very early and ran after the opening we didn't have to wait much because the queue is constantly moving. The staff was very efficient with their work and the gold theme with the dance and music is fun. I would highly recommend this ride. It is worth the hype. It is very fast and smooth, and not that scary especially since the seatbelts feel secure. The view from the top is breathtaking and makes you forget the height.
2) Saw - It's a fun ride but be on guard as soon as you stand in the queue. The ride resembles being tortured which can be fun for some people, and if you're seeking a thrill-ride, this is a great one. My friend is forever traumatised from this one. The ride is pretty smooth except for the designed bumps.
3) Colossus - My personal trauma. The ride is amazing for thrill-seeking and extreme adrenaline. But the ride broke down twice while we were waiting in queue. The wait time was beyond 1 hour in the hot sun and you never know if you will actually get to ride it. Because as soon as we sat on it, they asked us to get off. We, then, waited for them to fix it and finally got on it. The ride was shaky, twisty, and turny. The Spanish-speaking lady behind us was yelling prayers throughout the ride. My head kept bumping against the seat and since they aren't cushioned, I had a bad head-ache afterwards. We actually had to sit down, take a break and eat after this ride. I would personally not recommend this to people who have a migraine or any kind of neck/back issues. You can probably seek a same amount of thrill in a less painful ride.
4) Ghost Trains - We heard that this was similar to London Dungeons and even better, but we personally disagree. Unless this has been on your list, you're scared easily, or just want a break, you can easily skip this. No hate to the actors - they tried to engage with everyone. Both the actors picked my friend as their scapegoat but we just ended up laughing.
5) Walking Dead - Highly recommended. We were terrified after Colossus and Saw and wary of this but it ended up being the most fun. Thoroughly enjoyed it. If you're someone who wants to enjoy roller-coasters without fearing for your life and destroying your body, then this is the one.
6) Monkey's Banana Ride - Good ride for children.
7) Storm Surge - Unexpected but great. Thoroughly enjoyed. Again a good ride with decent amount of thrill, but you et splashed with water. The bottom of the tube is filled with water and you can't keep your sneakers anywhere. And removing them doesn't help because you have to keep them with you so bring a plastic cover for them and your valuables.
Arcade games are fun - my friend won a Snorlax plushie - the staff are very cheerful and encouraging but we deduced that you either have to be tall, good at sports, or lucky to win it.
Food - we ate at Tacotaria Express - great - get the meal - it's more for a cheaper price. We also had fries - they were amazing. I wish there were more sit down restaurants since it gets very hot on a sunny day.
Conclusion - Saw and Colossus are traumatic. Detonator was closed so we could not go on it. It is a fun place to go to if you love thrill-rides. Make sure you arrive early or the wait times are very long. I just wish there was more warning about what to expect in the ride even if they want to keep it a secret. Go to Colossus at the end of the day so your day is not ruined. Honestly, it should be renovated or replaced.

We had a good day but the queues took ages and we wasted an hour on the ghost train. We were expecting the Derren Brown Ghost Train but it was nothing like it and not scary at all. Hyperia and Swarm are the best two rides by a mile. Food and drink are very expensive.

We attended on 18th june- we arrived at half 9 in the morning to be greeted by the longest queue known to man. We waited just over an hour to get through security (which moved slower than any airport security ever). By the time we had gotten into the park all the rides that were open (2 were already closed) the queues were already 60 mins +
Throughout the day rides would continue to close and open after walking across the park to get in queues, i think in 3 hours we managed 1 ride. With all the closures everyone was obviously going on other rides meaning the queues were 100 minutes +
We also noticed that shops were praying on the weakness of the fact people were stuck in queues and couldn’t exit to grab a drink (a coke was £3 in shops around the park and the ones in the queues were £3.50) Bit unfair really.
It was my partners birthday and nothing was done for him even tho i mentioned it to guest service. Disappointed considering we drove 3 hours there and 3 hours back.

Oh and another thing we’re a group of 8 and we were in the queue for the ghost train- we got to the front and was asked the party size i said 8 and the women looked me dead in the face and said ‘i can take 7 of you and the other will just have to go alone’ i was like no and she huffed and puffed like i was in the wrong.

Overall disappointing, it was our first and probably last time coming

Busy but then it is the summer and the rides were all working aside from a few stops. But then safety is always paramount. The new paint and decor to the park looks good and it is a fun day out.
