The tour was incredible! They picked me up at my hotel and along the way I learned more about the taco culture in Mexico. When we arrived at the spot, I ate the best tacos I had during my trip in Mexico

Such a fun experience! Jessica and her lovely mom taught us about the area and the history behind tacos al pastor. We tried 4 different kinds and had a chance to practice our Spanish and eat delicious food! This was a great way to have a more “local” experience rather than sticking to touristy spots around the hotel. Highly recommend for a fun and easy dinner.

I was solo in CDMX on a Saturday night and thought this tour sounded like fun. My expectations were totally exceeded by amazing tour guide Jessica and her wonderful driver . I was not familiar with Lorenzo Boturini street being the most famous taco street in the city., but hey… GAME ON! Jessica shared the colorful history of tacos Al pastor and this incredible street that’s home to many taquerias. She picked 4 of the top taquerias for me to sample tacos Al pastor and told me she’d ask for my rank at the end of the tour. She took care of all the ordering and made sure I tried different salsas varying in heat level and condiments like pineapple on my tacos. I advise you to stand up and eat like a local so you can make it through all four taco stops! I was able to document my stroll along the street. The spots Jessica chose varied in size, length of time in business, and there were differences in the prep / taste of the trompo of pork. There’s even a stop made famous by a taco series on Netflix. I truly enjoyed the history, conversation and some really good taco eating. I even had the chance to slice some meat off the trompo like a true taquero! I highly recommend having Jessica as a most knowledgeable and passionate tour guide who goes the extra mile for you to enjoy this experience.

Jessica had warned me not to each much prior to the tour. An expert driver escorted us to the major downtown Taco street. There we stopped at several special places where we watched the male taco makers assemble seemingly similar yummy tacos.
While plying me with refreshing Horchata, Jessica coached me to note the subtle differences between each taco. By the time we concluded at the renowned Beto's Taqueria, I was able to discern its subtle superiority.
A bonus of my Monday evening Taco Hopping tour with Jessica, was witnessing CDMX in a lovely February evening, on the way back to being dropped off at my Casa.
I strongly recommend Jessica's Taco Hopping tour.

Taco hopping has been by far the most authentic and local experience I’ve had in Mexico City. Jessy, the host takes you on a journey where the locals gather and the most famous street for tacos! You know it’s the spot where you find the biggest pastor trompo you’ve ever seen. This is not your typical tourist tour, you become Mexican for one day :) One of the “taqueros” let us cut throw the big meat trompo and we loved it. It is impossible to choose our best taqueria but there was one taqueria that won our heart (photos attached). Don’t hesitate to book if you really want to immerse yourself as a local in a safe, fun and exciting experience. We would definitely come back for more hopping. Thank you Jess !!
