Democracy, physics, astronomy, ethics and many other applied sciences stem from philosophy and, naturally, philosophers are considered the world’s first intellectuals. Through a 4 hour private walking tour you will learn every interesting fact about philosophers from Thales of Miletus to Socrates and Plato, and from Aristotle to the Cynic philosopher Diogenes of Sinope, whose famous answer towards Alexander the Great “Stand out of my sunlight”, when he was asked whether there was any favour he might do for him, is indicative of his character.
You will get acquainted with the most important myths of the ancient greek world such as the story behind the birth of goddess Athena and everything around mischievous god Hermes.

Such a great time spending the morning with Bianca! She was super informative and splendidly entertaining as she explained the history of Philosophy and the Philosophers and their impact on the world. Even our two teenage boys enjoyed it and so will your family. We saw everything during our visit to Athens but this was our favorite. Highly recommended!

Bianca was such an amazing guide and told the story of the Philosophers with such style and in an engaging manner, even our two teenage boys were interested. I highly recommend this private tour to anyone interested in the history of Greek philosophers.

Bianca completely reinvigorated my view of Athens with her passionate and enthusiastic story telling !! Probably the best guide we have had in 33 yrs of international travel !! After 4 hrs I was still captivated by what she was going to share with us next about Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. A true gem of Athens !!!!

Gianni was very knowledgeable about Greek philosophy and mythology and impeccably planned our itinerary so we arrived to our lunch restaurant on time for our reservation. We all enjoyed our time with him and wholeheartedly recommend this tour and Gianni as the guide.

Truly one of the best tours I have ever had (and that is saying something!)! Bianca knocked it out of the ballpark, helping us to "get to know" Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, as well as the true intentions and beliefs of the early Stoics, Cynics, and Epicureans, and in such a lively and engaging way. My husband and I so enjoyed the back and forth discussion with her, and really appreciated how she seemed to know just when and where to stop in the shade to talk. I simply could not believe four hours had gone by by the end of our tour. As hot as it was, I felt perfectly fine and ready for more! Bianca is the quintessential professional and taking her tour was a gift we shall not soon forget.

Our guide Bianca was outstanding! We could have kept talking with her for hours, as she was both fun and knowledgeable. Her passion for philosophy made a subject that can sometimes be a bit dry totally accessible and relatable. We really appreciated how she found the perfect shady places to stop and talk about the philosophers and/or things we were seeing. Our four hour tour with her flew by, and was seriously one of the best tours we've ever had in our many travels!

Great tour! Bianca is very friendly and knows everything about greek myths and philosophers! Also, the stop at the cafe overlooking Acropolis was great for recovering energy during the tour.

It was great to walk and talk about the great philosophers and explore the area in more detail. This one on one experience is a great counterpoint to the endless group tours that are good but impersonal. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants a slower more personal experience.
