I just came back from a 2 day layover in qatar and I had one of the most amazing experience of 2 tours in the company of Hussein- my tour guide.
Hussein responded through a FB platform which I joined to get me through this short trip. As always I had the NY / Miami paranoia -
his offer was too good to be true. After a lot of Qatar info of its safe environment-I hesitantly took the risk of a tour with Hussein as a solo traveler.
Yes I took a photo of his ID & his pic & sent it to my husband before heading out.
I thought it was the best, safest and trustworthy private tour I ever had. The experience of not just the tour of the main attractions & history of Doha but more impressively he introduced me to local folks who continues to make an impact on people they welcome to their site.
To mention the Last Pearl Diver who runs a Pearl shop in Souq Waqif.
Majlis Al Dama, a place where Qatari men gather daily to play the traditional game of dama(checkers) while you sip a traditional brew?
There’s so much more to say but I had to mention Dune baggy desert adventure , Camel ride & Inlet sea with the Desert Sunset experience Is priceless. I highly commend Abdul -the gentle giant driver who was experienced to render a thrill but safe drive through the dunes not to forget he took beautiful pictures for my FB page😍
This short trip wouldn’t have been memorable without Hussein’s guidance.
He is cordial, professional and is a knowledgeable tour guide who looks after your best interests.
Finally, despite his complimentary city tour offer I felt he went far and beyond his service & had to compensate him well for his service.
Thanks Hussein and Abdul I definitely would want to meet with you when I take my family next time .
