Lots of great history of Golf, St Andrews and the course itself! Our tour guide did a wonderful job giving us the back story of how golf came to be and how St Andrews played a part. The best part was the opportunity to have our photo on the bridge!

This was a brilliant tour. Don't be put off by "for the Golfer" as the tour guide adapted to the audience. He was knowledgeable and happily took photos of the tour participants at appropriate times. I don't think that I would have had confidence to take a photo on the Swilcan Bridge without his guidance. If you are a golfer, you will love it. If you aren't a golfer, it will inspire a love of golf

The tour of St. Andrews and the Old Course was everything I thought it would be and then some. Our guide was very knowledgeable of both the the city and the history of the course...and golf in general since. He also brought some stories of being a former caddy at the Old Course to our tour that were entertaining. Definitely a tour worth taking!!

Shared some knowledge of the course and its history along with surrounding buildings and structures. Would have liked to have more information about the course itself and explored it more. For example what does it cost locals, opinion on best courses, times to play etc. made too many assumptions and was a bit pretentious.

Excellent tour! Our guide was thorough, patient and took great pictures of our group. I highly recommend this tour. Relatively easy walk, some inclines and steps.

It was great to see St. Andrews in person. Richard gave an insightful and fun tour. There was a lot that I didn't know (and I thought that I knew a lot). Getting my picture on Swilcan bridge was a vacation highlight. Thanks Richard.

Richard is extremely knowledgeable, entertaining and very clear spoken. Even for a non-golfer his talk was very interesting with many anecdotes from his professional experience of the old course.

My wife, son, and I took this tour in June of 2024 and it was every bit we could have hoped for and then some! It was excellent! Richard is a very knowledgeable guide along with being friendly and willing to answer any and all questions. The tour moves along at a courteous pace...it does require a fair amount of walking...but for the most part it does not require up and down many inclines or steps. You will learn new things you did not know before you started about the history of the town of St. Andrews along with history of the Old Course and golf....guaranteed!!
