This tour focuses on Ueno, which is less crowded and touristy than Shibuya and Shinjuku. It is also famous among Japanese foodies for its high quality and affordability.
Your guide will take you to bars and restaurants (no tourists!) that are popular with locals. Order signature dishes and discuss the food and drinks.
You will visit restaurants and izakayas and eat sashimi, grilled fish, skewers, and more. You can also drink uniquely Japanese alcoholic beverages and experience the atmosphere of a Japanese izakaya. After visiting the izakayas, you will end the tour at a great ramen place that is popular with locals. At the end of the tour, we will explain which station you need to go to depending on your destination.
Bring an empty stomach as you will have full-sized meals at several different restaurants, including ramen.
