The Arctic is such a magical place, offering special moments through and around the fjords during the twilight months that can only be found above the Arctic circle (this is because the sun does not rise above the horizon). We love nature and believe we share this passion with you. Because of this we have created an scenic, educational sightseeing tour in which we will explore the fjords in the arctic landscape around the Tromsø region. You will head out in a comfortable mini bus with a personal guide who will be with you for the entire duration of the tour.

1. Tromso Fjords
The fjords, inlets, villages and sandy beaches located a short drive outsideTromsø is an absolutely stunning region that we love to explore with travelers from all over the world. The benefit of venturing into nature on this tour is that we can show you the most amazing places in the area, guide you and your group along the way, while keeping you warm and comfortable in one of our modern minibuses. We have found that many travelers want to get out of the city, and explore the epic nature in the area, but do not know where to travel to, nor have any way of getting there. We have created this tour to show you some of the most special fjords in the area in a comfortable, and genuine setting. Our guides know the area well and love to show you our favourite places while providing history and local knowledge along the way. This tour offers the perfect combination between a day of exploring the fjords that are facing the massive atlantic ocean, while enjoying the genuine setting of a small group and an experienced guide. It’s a tour for the entire family, and you will get the opportunity to ask questions, take pictures and stretch your legs in these amazing arctic environment that we love so much. During the tour we will stop for coffee/tea and a light meal at one of our favorite spots. We will provide warm safety suits, gloves and boots to make this Arctic experience as comfortable as possible. The car is always warm and if you are interested in taking some photos when we stop you can borrow our tripods for free. We always keep the groups small (up to 15 people) for you to get the personal experience and connection with our guides that we strive for in Pukka Travels. Before the tour takes off we meet up at our Base camp in central Tromsø for a briefing and introduction to the area we will explore for the day. The bus will pick you up outside of our basecamp so there is no need to walk far or get cold on the way. After the tour, you can enjoy the warm lounge at our base camp for as long as you wish, where you can charge your camera for the evening and plan your next “golden moment” in the arctic. During the tour we will take you to 3 main spots all located on the island Kvaløya. Our first stop is Ersfjord, a local costal village traditionally a fishing village - now a stunning fjord popular for visitor and great for photos. The next location we take you to is Sommarøy, a small island connected to Kvaløya via a bridge. Sommarøy is known for it’s stunning nature with crystal clear blue water and sandy beaches with peak mountains in the background which gives you a dramatic view. The last stop for the route is Hella, where we can find old rock carvings. The fjord side road passing through Hella is a treat for all senses. During one of the stops above, we serve a light picnic consisting of wraps and hot drinks. Depending on sightseeings, we may make a few other stops at photogenic locations and if you are lucky we may spot reindeer, moose, eagles and other wildlife along the way.

The whole tour was amazing!! Jorgen did a great job explaining everything and making sure we could enjoy the scenery and also have fun at the same time. The food was good, music great.
It was the best tour we took in Tromso!

We were accompanied by Jorgen on the tour and had a great experience altogether. Jorgen made the entire tour very informative, interesting and lots of fun. The whole experience was very enjoyable and quite different. We had a delicious lunch picnic on a frozen lake and witnessed the Nordic nature! Would highly recommend this tour and our guide Jorgen, who also happens to take wonderful pictures!

The beautiful views. The information provision before we left and during the trip. Importantly the safe driving. Saw places I would never see on my own. Mini bus was also comfortable. A big merc with comy seats. We'll worth doing

We had a great day and recommend the tour highly. The landscapes and weather changes are really amazing and the friendly and interesting guiding of Anastasia makes the experience perfect. Frederico is a good driver and we felt comfortable and safe even on the icy roads.

We went to see the fjords with Jorgen and Frederico for 5 hours tour. Snow, sunrise and sunset, wonderful surroundings and views. Both the guides made it so special with their super interesting stories about history, culture, environment, showing us animals, lighting the fire, a little meal. They are gold for Pukka! Thank you guys for the best experience ever!

Our guide Jorgen was excellent, knowledgeable and helpful. We were lucky with the weather so the views were fantastic. Really enjoyed the whole trip which surpassed our expectations! We saw moose and reindeer which was a bonus.

The weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get the best views of the fjords but our tour guide Lisa and minibus driver Ramasai did their level best to look after us and ensure we had a great experience. I most definitely recommend the company.
Oh they have a very cozy office in Tromso which is perfect to sit back and relax before or after the tour
