Auschwitz was established in 1940 It was the biggest Nazi concentration camp for Poles and prisoners from other countries. They were condemned by the hitlerite fascism to isolation and slow extermination by hunger, exhausting work, criminal experiments, or to a quick death as a result of individual and mass executions. A place definitely worth seeing.

It was great! Our driver was exceedingly kind and pick up/drop off was so convenient. The tour was very informative and at a good pace. Would highly recommend.

Very good tour , I was disappointed at people taking photos of the incinerator, etc felt there should not do this as no respect for these unfortunate souls

Everything was absolutely great😊 The driver was easy to get in touch with, was picked up by car outside the hotel. In the car, a film was shown with exclusive photos from both camps. The guide was nice and spoke very good English. We went straight through, ticket queue. It is strongly recommended to book a trip with a guide, the benefit of the trip will be much better. Good shoes are important, we walked 10,000 steps together in both camps.

Experience was amazing and transport there was good felt like the tour guide rushed through birkenau a bit and didn’t give enough time to read information boards and properly take in the horrors that happened here and as someone who has studied the holocaust for nearly a decade I felt like a lot of information was left out but so pleased to finally have been to Auschwitz I believe it’s something everyone needs to experience

It’s very difficult to say that you enjoyed a tour but it’s a must see place to understand what the Nazi did to human beings was so upsetting to see

From pick up to drop off, we were well looked after. The driver was friendly on time and spoke brilliant english, he contacted us the day before to give us info on pick up times and if we required a packed lunch (at an additional cost) which was not expensive and more than enough for how long we were there. The tour itself was brilliant. The guide was great, very informative, and knowledgeable. She really brought home the story of what happened at Auschwitz and Birkenau. She was more than happy to answer any questions. The experience overall I would recommend to everyone

An amazing trip - so sad the and thought provoking thinking about the atrocities that happened there. It was a beautiful day when we went. We had a brilliant guide who was polish and had worked there for 20 years; he was so sympathetic in his delivery of information. Well worth the visit.
Note: We had a cancellation by GYG the day before our visit and then failed to pick us up on the 2nd booking having received confirmation and them taking the £128! We were furious. To be sure you will get there and not have this issue (which I have read of others experiencing the same) book tickets directly with the Auschwitz/Birkenau Museum and take the train. Far cheaper and reliable as you will definitely get there. We paid £23 per ticket and the train (20 mins from the venue) was less than £4 each way, total £31 each! However, we had to get a taxi there to ensure we were there on time and paid £38 for an hour and a half journey right to the door using Uber. Took the train back. Just brilliant having nearly not made it due to the terrible service from Get Your Guide GYG.
