The BBQ food tour was excellent. The food was amazing and Paul was a brilliant tour guide who made the day a very enjoyable experience. It was a great day out for me and my family.

So after a great day we were all very full! Definitely a benefit of the tour is to get the kitchen/ back room sessions from the passionate experts at the venues. It is so well organised with tables ready for us and everything timed perfectly. Paul was a knowledgeable driver and host who also helped the staff hand out the food, cleared the tables after and magically had the van waiting for us to step into as well as stories along the way.
On the way back Paul drove though Vic Park and pointed out some interesting restaurants. He safely dropped us back at the Bell Tower where we said goodbye. Paul is a great host/ driver who is very passionate about showing us all a good time. This is the third tour I have done with them and all were great.

Food tours are generally a great way to experience a new city, and this tour was no exception. It provided an opportunity to enjoy incredibly tasty BBQ food at venues I would never have stumbled across on my own (but would definitely re-visit). Not only did our tour group sample great BBQ food at several locations, but we also met some of the chefs and got an appreciation for the expert techniques they employ to ensure that their food is so good. And to cap if off, Paul is an excellent guide and a really nice guy, who shares so much of his insider knowledge of Perth. I highly recommend this tour.

This tour was fantastic!
Paul is an amazing Guide - extremely knowledgeable and very friendly.
He took us to places we had heard of, but not yet visited.
The food was terrific and the "curators" of the food passionate and great to learn from.
We had a wonderful day out being tourists in our own city and highly recommend not just this tour - but also Paul, Shannon and Up Close and Local Tours!

One of the most enjoyable food tours we have ever done. Paul, our guide, was super friendly and knowledgeable. We went to some really excellent venues and ate lots of good food. Would highly recommend (just don't have breakfast before you go!).

The interest in this tour was so high, we booked a private tour. It did not disappoint. Everyone had an amazing day. Locations were great with yumbolicious food and our host Paul was very friendly and accommodating. A must do tour for anyone who loves a good time and American style BBQ.

What a fabulous day out! Our group haven't stopped talking about the Low and Slow BBQ Tour and will do so for years to come. We can't recommend our guide, Paul, highly enough. He is so knowledgeable, professional, amiable, and shared so much of the Perth unique smokehouse food scene and history with us. The tour was excellent value for money and included so much delicious food (we are on a serious diet now)!!! plus a cheeky cocktail too! This is our second tour with Up Close and Local Tours and we will definitely use them again!
We rate our Low and Slow BBQ Tour 5/5 stars!

Wasn't just eating delicious bbq but also took us behind the scenes and the owners of the different restaurants got to explain the process and how they cooked their bbq and the style they use which was a great part to the tour. Paul our tour guide was fantastic and informative and just all round good lad. Would recomend BBQ tour for anyone In Perth or just visiting also recomend any other tour run by Up Close and Local Tours.
