Take a tour from Florence with a difference - by vespa scooter! It's a fabulous way to tour the Chianti region of Tuscany with beautiful vineyards and rolling hills. An exciting alternative to conventional tours, this Chianti Scooter Tour gives you access to country roads so you'll discover more corners of this world-famous wine producing region of Italy. Ride through the hillside of Tuscany on a Vespa scooter and soak up the sights, smells and sounds.
The ride, along scenic country roads will offer splendid views of the rolling hillside, vineyards and olive groves, little medieval churches and ancient wineries. Some stops for photo opportunities will be made along the way.
You will visit a famous winery, producing some of the most appreciated Chianti wines, and a boutique winery, learning their approach on wine making and tasting their delicious wines and olive oil.
End your memorable experience with a typical Tuscan meal that will be served in a Tuscan farmhouse

• If you want to book multiple vespas (each for sole use with just one rider), please put through single bookings
• A valid driving license is required (although you do not need a motorcycle license), make sure you have it with you on the tour, and you must be at least 18 years of age to drive, at least 13 years to be a passenger
• Previous experience is not required but advantageous and highly advised. The tour operator reserves the right of final judgement in client participation of actual scooter driving or in client being a passenger, or to discontinue scooter use at any point of the tour. Any participant unable to drive scooters safely may ride double with a partner, or on the guide’s scooter if available or continue the tour on board one of our support vehicles (the Tuscany Tuk Tuk or the minivan, depending which is available) if unable to be a safe passenger as well. No refund will be granted in this case. Our first and foremost concern is everyone's safety
• The Single Vespa and Double Vespa tour options entitle clients to ride the original Piaggio Vespas, but Piaggio Zip scooters (which are lighter and easier to ride) are also available (Smaller scooter option)
• A third-party insurance for civil liability is included in the price of the tour. Please note that clients will be given the option to subscribe an additional insurance against vehicle damages
• RAIN POLICY: The tour runs rain or shine (but please see below). The tour departure will never be cancelled due to rain. We will do our best to proceed with the tour, avoiding the rain and thus possibly carrying out the tour with our minivan until and if the rain should stop and street conditions will guarantee a safe ride. If it does not stop raining, the entire tour will be conducted in the safety and comfort of the minivan. Guest options on rainy days: 1) Proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather – PARTIAL RIDE or NO RIDE due to heavy RAIN Customers can decide to proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather with the understanding that if scooters are not ridden at all due to rain, or if the Vespa tour is dramatically abbreviated due to rain, customers will NOT be granted any refund or discount. We will do our best to get you on a scooter, weather permitting. 2) Rain check (of the same amount clients paid) to be used the following day or at any other time, subject to availability. The Rain check is a voucher given to client. The voucher is transferable and may be sold or given to others to use at a future date and lasts up to 1 year from date. It has a value that can be possible used in any other tour provided by our company. Please note that clients' safety and comfort are of utmost priority, and proper rain gear is mandatory for guests choosing to "ride in the rain". We ask clients to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour departure, to check the weather conditions and choose accordingly. No-shows will not be refunded.
• We are sorry to inform you that pets are not permitted on our tours
• The maximum load the Vespa can tolerate is 170 kg / 374 lbs (whether one or two people, bags included). At check-in, Towns of Italy reserves the right to exclude participants from this tour if these requirements are not met. No refund will be due
• This tour option entitles client to ride the iconic original PIAGGIO VESPA or Electric VESPA, but PIAGGIO ZIP scooters (which are smaller) are also available (SMART OPTION)
• For the double Vespa two persons are required (1 driver & 1 passenger)

We were hesitant due to the cost but I’m so happy we did this tour as it was more than worth the money!
We drove the Vespa’s to a few beautiful view points, stopped in a beautiful quaint town to explore, and enjoyed an amazing dinner at the winery after our wine and olive oil tasting.

We traveled with our adult children in their 20’s. We were nervous about driving the Vespa but they practiced with us until they felt comfortable with each of our skills. The kids said it was the highlight of our 2 week trip. Even though they were nervous at first, they became comfortable by the 1/2 way point. But still be cautious since you do ride on the roads with lots of cars here and there. Our guides Gratzia, Cecili, and Emma were fantastic. And the views amazing!

What a fantastic experience! This Vespa Tour was intimate, beautiful, and truly showed a different side outside of the actual city. Warning - Vespa ride is not for the faint of heart. I was thankful to ride on the back with a partner. Views were fantastic! And we felt very safe. Several stops were all wonderful and informative. Our 2 guides were educated and fun! The lunch at the winery at the end of our experience was delicious. Wine tasting was special but the majority of your experience will be on the Vespa, and it will be worth it!

Central Florence is hard to navigate but navigating beyond that would have been impossible without this beautiful scenic Vespa tour. Very accommodating, Haider is very friendly and insightful with the tour and outside of it. Antonio hustles whilst maintaining patience. Would recommend, have confidence and go for it.

This tour was to die for! Our guides Hider and Antonio were so accommodating and helpful in explaining the history/architecture throughout the entire tour and the process of the vespeds was too easy. Definitely would recommend!

I had an incredible Vespa tour through the Tuscany hills, and it was the highlight of my trip! Our tour guides, Hider (I think) and Antonio, were absolutely fantastic. They were knowledgeable, energetic, and extremely reassuring, providing excellent instruction on how to drive the Vespa. They were also very accommodating with our large family, making the experience smooth and enjoyable for everyone. The tour itself was amazing, offering stunning views of the hills. I loved every moment of it. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing time doing this Vespa tour. The guides were extremely nice and helped everyone get settled on the Vespa’s. Make sure you go into it with the possibility you might not get to ride one if you have no experience. They have you test drive the vespas and give you a plenty of help and time to figure out how to drive it but if you aren’t able to they won’t let you drive them. Which makes complete sense for their safety as well as yours! The food and wine tasting takes place after Vespa ride and the food was incredible and the wine was amazing. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun day in Tuscany!
